Is the top engine mount knackered? They are filled with oil so usually easy to see when they're failed and leaking. Driveshafts should knock in both directions, acceleration and deceleration. Steering rods should only knock when steering, not in a straight line. Drop links rattle over rough surfaces. Wishbone bushes go soft on these and allow wheel movement under hard acceleration so that's where I'd be checking carefully. (Though looking at the minor on the previous MOT, the CV joint probably is knackered. People just stick new boots on them to get through MOT. Cable tie isn't an issue there, as long as it's tight enough to keep the grease in).

Hi, That small hose goes to the MAP sensor. You will need to remove the plastic engine cover to see the sensor. The hose isn't available separately. Only comes as part of the sensor & bracket assembly. Genuine Ford Focus Mk2 C-Max Galaxy S-Max Mondeo Mk4 MAP Sensor 1352477 | eBay UK You may be able to find a DIY workaround instead.

Hi! After washing my car I got water ingress in my third brake light, the upper long one. A couple of weeks half of it stopped working and I am now driving around with only half the lights working. I am unable to find a replacement part for this, all websites show their parts as "unfit for this vehicle" even though they look very similar. Can you guys help me out with finding a part that works? I live in Sweden so Autodoc, EU Amazon etc would be perfect. These are the listings I've found that I thought might work, but it would be nice to find one a bit cheaper (40-60 euro): https://www.amazon.se/H%C3%B6gmonterade-Bromsstoppljus-JX7B13A601AD-JX7B-13A601-AD-JX7B-13A601-AC/dp/B0D4SMD2CT?crid=2HFALOD19FVW7&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.s9VKvU8vKPsVo6dUwFuCQB_B5SJSosZ9J0I7OvW15tQ.IxY2hYfTfpwKcnoQRzpfgATg7uTwVeDO0Bj2SXkPOpM&dib_tag=se&keywords=Jx7B13A601AD&qid=1780644541&sprefix=jx7b13a601ad%2Caps%2C121&sr=8-1 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/396804243758 JX7B-13A601-AD / JX7B-13A601-AC is my guess to the part number. Best regards, Carl

after a quick google it seems that this is not uncommon after wheel alignment - steering angle sensor calibrated via forscan and issue solved

The usual sort of noise that you refer to in your original post would certainly be noticeable at idle in neutral with the bonnet open. I used to say (only partly in jest) that my 1.0 sounded like a bag of spanners with the bonnet open, though almost inaudible inside the car. Is the gearchange/clutch action normal? Wonder why, if this is so noticeable when driving, it wasn't apparent during a test drive. Or didn't you get one? I think I would be inclined to raise my concerns with the seller. Hi There, I have been noticing a slight misfire/backfire over the last few days with the EML light coming on, it stores an P2303-E1: ignition coil b primary control circuit low voltage. I have replaced all 4 spark plugs, ht leads and the coil pack but it seems to have made no difference. Has anyone else had this issue? Thank you Josh
