You're being too hard on yourself. Forgetting to plug things back in is easily done, and I am sure something we have all done if willing to admit it (I certainly have!).2 points

Right so having some troubles with the extra boost, there was a bit of surge before removing the air restrictor but now it's causing the charger to stall. Yes it makes a cool chatter noise but it's not good for the charger, and I don't think i'll be lucky enough to get another one one warranty. Rang up TTS who are the UK Rotrex dealers and they were very helpful, advised to fit a BOV. Popped down to demon tweeks, picked up a Forge valve, vacuum piping and a T-piece. Also bought a larger filter from Ram Air. I tapped into the fuel vapour recirc before the one way valve, it was a bit of a pain but a hot brew softened the pipe which is plastic. It's not the tidiest, I will tidy it up at some point when I have the time, I did buy some yellow hose wrap from Demon Tweeks but it's quite difficult to use.2 points

Evening folks. I have recently acquired a 2002 Ford Puma Thunder in silver The car has been dry stored for the last 14 years and has only covered 20,000 miles since new. Didn't take much to get her started, new battery and a fuel pump and she burst into life. She then needed a couple of ABS sensors on the front, 4 new tyres as the old ones were flat spotted, wiper blades all round and a damn good service including cam belt, for her to pass an MOT with no issues at all. The car is a little cracker, no rust at all and great fun to drive, really pleased with her so far. A soon as I get some pictures taken, I will post some on here1 point

I dont know, But what a t**t. Casually drives off after nearly causing a serious accident.1 point

Good evening, just like to say hello and new to the owners scene, 48yr old in Norfolk. Have a very tidy lil Fiesta xrv van. Not sure what else to put so hello all1 point

One new pump later and my aircon is icy. Looks like the compressor had been seized for some time - the car came from Scotland so it's possible the aircon wasn't used much, hence the lack of gas (may have very slowly seeped out). Slightly annoyed the garage I bought it from hadn't checked the aircon before I picked it up, though I forgot to check it myself. I now have the old pump to display on the wall! Thanks all for the advice, I now know more about air conditioning than I ever dreamed I would.1 point

In other news the sky was blue today...... Sad thing is they will continue to grow the garage operation throughout the UK eventually turning it into a business turning over billions of pounds due to the sheer number of clueless motorists in the uk. Mainly, young people, or women etc who think they're better off going to the big "brands" Halfords, kwik fit etc for car maintenance.1 point

I went for Shadow Black. Looks stunning! I opted for a car that was already built with pretty much all the options I wanted. Mondeo ST Line X 5 door 210 Powershift auto 19" rock metal alloys Adaptive headlights (must have) Rear spoiler Reversing camera Privacy glass I thought I'd miss the Sony DAB that was in my Edge and 2 courtesy mondeo's though the Ford system is very good.1 point

Hi guys, Just a quick update - I took the car back to the dealer just over a week ago as it was still under warranty, they told me the battery wasn't quite up to scratch (or something along those lines). I had the battery replaced free of charge and it's worked fine ever since. So seems likely it was just the battery not being 100%. Cheers John1 point

thank you for your reply's, from my point of view the noise stops after 2.000 rpm or it's not that strong fading away , also if i have a passenger in the car the noise can be barely noticed ...when alone in the car it's more noticeable .. it's very strange , i had a quick chat with a mechanic and he said that's how the car is , but he left me with the impression that he was trying to get rid of me ...i will try and make a video of the sound..1 point

Absolutely Russ. I'm south of the big smoke and try my hardest not to bother going in the centre of town as its all 20mph. Can't see how that's going to reduce pollution, when there are 30 double deckers in Princes Street at any one time !1 point

Haha i wouldn't jump the gun that quick like, ill take it to a local mechanic and get a second opinion. Cheers man1 point

that begs the question, is it better to have it refilled regularly so that it doesn't drop in pressure (flex / contract)? or will it make sweet bugger all of a difference, if its gonna go its gonna go.1 point

Hi there, there is no visible way of getting the wires crossed, it's a 5 pin connection which will only connect one way. I did think that it might be a wiring problem, but wouldn't know which ones to swap around. Thanks for your input.1 point

i will probably be one of the first to see them before they even get to dealers.1 point

+1😁 shouldn't even be a song it's total crap if i can say that word..1 point

Thanks Luke, what I'm going to do. However if it turns out to have exploded because of something the garage didn't check, I'm not paying for it!1 point

If I hear Galway Girl once more, not even a oiled up stunning Irish Lady will make me smile The new Gorillaz album is quite good. The Saturnz Barnz video is good and the 360 YouTube version is also fun to watch. Gorillaz are playing down in Margate soon and I will be on duty to support the highway side of things.1 point

I will listen to whatever is on the radio (tends to be Radio 1) until I actively don't like something (i.e. Justin Bieber) and then swap over stations. If I could be bothered to sling some of my own choices onto a USB stick then I would probably be listening to anything form Warren G - Regulate to Dua Lipa.1 point

Good news, supercharger replaced under warranty for free. Oooh shiny I also fitted a Setrab oil cooler to keep the charger oil cool (was meant to have one all along, oops). Boost piping relocated behind the crash bar. I also removed the air restrictor to get a bit more power out of it, injectors can compensate 15% either way so it kept the AFR at 12.1 WOT Also picked up a replacement intercooler as mine was full of turbine shards for a tenner off my mate Some picture showing the charger placement for those interested. It's very easy to do, I took it off whilst engine in car in 45 mins. (not my car) Oil reservoir was also moved so it wasn't a foot above the charger, this is under drivers side headlight1 point

I have a tracker, clutch pedal lock and a dummy OBD fitted so short of picking the car up there isn't a big chance of mine getting nabbed.1 point

All the Fords I have driven so far have brilliant gearboxes on them, dead easy to slip in and out of gears when stationary and moving, especially compared to my families Toyota and Peugeot (its a work van ok :)). For a car only 3 years old, the syncro's shouldn't have worn that much. Sounds like a box problem to me. Goes without saying, don't take what we say on here as gospel. Remember we haven't seen the car or tried it for ourselves, so don't go to the wreckers tomorrow and buy a new gearbox haha. Take it to a mechanic if it seems a real problem1 point

My sister in law and Dads focus had an air con pipe split, both the same pipe, nothing as dramatic as that though. £300 is ridiculous for the work involved too1 point

take a picture! hope they didn't charge you for regassing it!? as for charging 300 quid, bugger that, head to a breakers yard and get a pipe for a 10th of the price.1 point

I hate having to wait on the clutch to engage to avoid embarrassment of reverse crunching more tbh.1 point

Me too!! I love my 405, but modern Peugeots are just pieces of plastic with dodgy electrics.1 point

Thought it was also about time I did some bits to the interior. So managed to find a top tray to replace the original screen, and also a different fascia which angles the screen towards me. Both parts were the sprayed gloss black, and redid my door handles Dirty engine bay1 point
