Just come back from the dealer, having ordered a 1.5 Ecoboost Zetec S with lots of goodies. :D

Estimated build date is 10th Oct, with ETA 9th Nov, although dealer has said it is likely to take longer than that due to the number of options I have added, so we'll see.

Can't wait, this will be my first new factory ordered car

The 1.5 ecoboost is a good engine for it's size.

You should have fun with it.

Only 150PS this time round in the Zetec S, but I'm not too bothered as the 180PS (only available on Tit X) is only 0.3 seconds quicker. From what I have read the power is available lower down on the 1.5, so the 150PS ends up having a bigger power band on the 1.5 than the 1.6 anyway.

It is also perfect for my type of journey, the daily commute barely gives the engine a chance to warm up, so the clutched water pump should help. Then it has the power there to go have fun at weekends :D

Will the mk3.5 zetec s include sporty grills and spoiler etc like the mk3 ZS currently has?

The way I'm financing it, is actually giving me a large chunk of my savings back which I had spent when going from the Fiesta to my current Focus. Got to save up for a deposit for moving out!

I intend to keep this one longer though (key word being INTEND, lol).

Slightly envious of you now. I'm currently contemplating trading in my Fiesta for the mk3.5 Focus – all money permitting, as like you I’m also trying to save a deposit for my own place, plus there’s one or two other things eating into my budget at the moment too.

Really would love a new Focus Titanium in black with Powershift, privacy glass, active park assist, MyFord Touch, and possibly a leather interior.

Probably need to keep putting the Lottery on though. lol

Thats the one! (the lower one) i've had a play on a configurator -

i was surprised to see that chrome grill surround and body coloured chin spoiler! definitely breaks the car design up a bit, but im not sure how low it will look; i think the current ones look quite squat!
