One Injector Got A Leak !!!

Good evening all

i have a 2.0L TDCI engine euro 3 type and after having 2 or 3 codes read outs and clearing the code faults by ford to find out why my car goes into limp mode with the glowplug light flashing and no engine managenent light on ford told me it was the fuel pump solenoid so i bought a new one from a auto parts for £69 + vat

the problem still is on going i have notice that the 1st injector on from the lefthand side as got a slight wet ring of diesel around it i got the engine warm took the car for a run and tryed to boot it before going in to limp mode went back home and lift the bonet and the injector was slightly more diesel around it but after a few hours it as dissappeared would this be the cause of my problem i was wondering if when getting engine boost off the turbo it might be drawing air in causing it to go in limp mode am i right or wrong can some one point me the right way thats had this problem i have also notice the electric plug is soaked in side but i havent unpluged it in case it made things wores with the ECU.

thanks for that pete would i be best to get all the injectors tested before replacing the leaky one and can you just fit them in or do you need to have them coded in to ECU when replaced ?

I would get them tested, if just tested then no need to recode, if replaced ie new or reconditioned then they need coding

ok would i have to go ford to recode the new injector in or can i use anybody with the right stuff what sort of money is it to get recoded

ive borrowed a see through type socket to extrac the injector i got a quote for £40+vat for testing them is it a simple job to take them out i know that you would need to keep them marked up so i know were they come from sorry to ask so many questions its only i lost my job before christmas and can afford to spend top dollar with ford theres not many good jobs around at moment.

Any decent diesel specialist should be able to test them for you, its not a job I have done myself, but it should be straight forward enough just keep in mind that the fuel sytem runs at a very high pressure 115 bar I believe

thanks for advice pete i will let you know the out come got injectors booked in monday so i will take them out over weekend ready.
