Stu9
On an 03 1.8 tdci It's the pipe at the turbo as I can't get leverage on the nuts under the egr
Stu9
I felt some difference but there's now diesel fumes inside....I've never had that before blanking an egr unless it needs to be done from the unit itself...I'll take the plate back out and leave as is till if/when I can get the nuts under it off
Stu9
Now I've got something weird with the bolt at the back (in the photo) it loosens so far then gets stuck, now I've always know the when you heat nuts and bolts they generally come off easier....not that one!. Unless the threads are caught on a bit of the tin plate I put round it, if that's the case I'm buggered if I know what to do now as I can slide it out, it's folded round the original gasket so need to get it out.....got a dilema now
Stu9
Can anyone shed any light on this......I thought someone would have said something, I know I'm used to faster moving forums but I thought since early afternoon and 40odd views someone would have known something

TomsFocus
Maybe it's not a problem anyone has encountered before...sounds like something you've added anyway lol? Tbh it sounds as if you've crossthreaded it? Not sure what the access is like but try pulling it while unscrewing it, molegrips or a small prybar may help?
