2017 ST-line Rear Bumper Gap

Featured Replies

Hello, so I am fairly new to modding cars and doing anything to cars really (this is my first car). Im fairly sure that it is a fiesta mk 7.5 (ST-line) but I could be wrong.

On the back bumper of the car on the right-hand side i have noticed a cutout which looks like it could fit a small dual tip exhaust end in without looking really stupid. After searching online for months I have found that nearly nobody has done anything to this car (not even gear-levers) and it is impossible to find any information about it. I really just need help understanding what possible exhaust extention (something to go onto the end of the existing exhaust I could put into this gap just to make the car look a bit sportier as clearly something is meant to go there. (also i am on a budget and my insurance is already very expensive so please dont suggest buying a new bumper and exhaust system, thanks)

Any help is appreciated and just give me a break since I dont understand much about cars yet.

Hi Thomas, does sound as if you have one of the last Mk 7.5 ST-Lines as the Mk 8 already has a cut out and visible (single) exhaust.

Firstly, there are several threads on Mk 7.5 mods on the "Ford Project and Build Threads" forum on this site if you search back a page or two, which give lots of ideas. Excellent write ups by @Willy and @Gommy to name but two.

As far as the existing valence goes, don't think the Mk 7.5 ST-L has any cut out unless someone has already modded it. Perhaps you could post a pic of what you have, which may help someone make a suggestion?

As you you will see from the project forum, most people have gone down the route of sourcing an ST valence and twin outlet silencer which unfortunately does involve spending money but they can be found used on eBay etc or occasionally on here as members "de-modify" cars before selling.

Hi,

If you ever need any help with insurance for modifications then please feel free to drop me a line.

Regards,

Dan.

Thank you very much, I will add photos in the next couple days when i get a moment as its just always dark now whenever im home. Its very hard to explain the gap its just odd, ive been looking a bit today and some of the old ztec-s bumpers have something that looks very similar. Again, thank you very much for the info as i have really struggled to find the information 🙂
