Focus mk4 start/stop function

Mines on lowest setting and hardly ever goes off. But certainly does brake if necessary. It stopped me hitting a wall once in a car park when my foot slipped off the clutch.

I thought about this thread today as I have been out on a drive to clear my GPF.  To keep the revs between 1500 and 4000 rpm I used the M on the auto and cruise control.  I don't have active cruise but going downhill in a low gear you could definitely feel engine braking.
