which engine to choose

i have a c-mx but looking to get a b-max. i do not understand why there is a 100 bhp when the 125 bhp is more powerful and slightly more economical. I know the 1.4 has less power but it is a older proven engine so i wondered if that model would be less trouble to maintain (no turbo etc.) your opinions will be appreciated helping me choose. i am old school and wonder if the 1.4 may be ok. as i don,t rush about.

I would go for the 1.4 Duratec engine. It is simple, proven, and easy to maintain.

Although the ecoboost offers economies; its higher mileage reliability questions, more complicated design, and higher purchase price, make it only really attractive from new.

I would've hoped that the OP has sourced a car after 9 months lol.

Well at 100,000 miles you get an invite to spend £1400 and get the wet belts replaced.
