New style Fiesta

Hi All,

Had a phone call from my dealer yesterday about my 2022 Fiesta Titanium Vignale, ordered in April. It has now become a Fiesta 2023 model. As Matt said back in April, it is now a Titanium X.

On checking there are a couple of changes.

1. Sync 3 Navigation is not standard on the 2023 model. I assume it is an extra. Still included with mine as it was standard on 2022 model when I ordered mine.

2. 12.5 Digital dash not standard on 2023 as it was  on 2022 version. Dealer thinks it is included with Sync 3 Navigation. Hopefully I should still be getting it.

Like me, dealer thinks it will be into 2023 before I see hide nor hair of it

If I'm reading this right.....Ford are replacing the new digital dash with the "old" sync 3 version ?

This will give you a chuckle...the Fiesta Titanium does get cruise as standard!  Which will be useful while you're holding that window up button for extended periods...

  • I’ve seen the facelift on the road. So at least one has been delivered. 😅

I read it as you can still have the digital dashboard but it's not standard.

Correct Damian. On the 2022 Titanium Vignale it was shown as standard fit. On the 2023 Titanium X it is not shown as standard fit. Must assume it is an extra and of course at extra cost.

Ah, I see the bean counters are still alive, well and still spoiling things at Ford.

Now sponsored by Heinz - that's why they fit De-Gas pipes 🤣

I ordered a Fiesta 155 Titanium on August 12th. 2021. At that time, I was quoted three months. After a lengthy wait, I took delivery of it last Wednesday. A few months ago, I received a phone call to say because of the delay I was getting an upgrade to the Vignale model. I am not sure if this was the dealership or Ford who arranged for this to happen, but I am grateful! I was unsure if it would be built to the 155 engine specification as they'd been discontinued, but sure enough it is indeed a 155.

The Vignale is lovely (Chrome Blue) - I would say the highlights for me are definitely the 17 inch alloys which are stunning, the seating (part leather) and the scuff plates. There aren't many clues it is a Vignale model from the outside as there is no mention of its name anywhere other than on the scuff plates. As others have said, no folding mirrors and I still can't work out whether it has wireless charging... the area has a charging symbol on the cover, and the cover can be removed to reveal various ports... I think I might have to take a photo to explain!

I do think it bizarre the manual is so thin and you have to access the main manual online.

However, I can't complain as I am so happy with the upgrade (am very surprised the Titanium has 15 inch wheels now). The car runs like a dream, and the 155 engine seems excellent. It's an extremely comfortable vehicle.

I find it hard to believe the Fiesta is on the way out...

By the way, if anyone else has just taken delivery of a Vignale, then please do let me know about the wireless charging- I am not very technical and just can't work out if it's a feature or not!

Put your phone on it and see if it charges..... or lift the rubber up with the charging symbol on see if it is just a rubber inlay.

If it has a 155bhp engine, I guess it has calipers and not drums on the rear.

I ordered my ST-Line 3 door 125 mHEV in December. As they are now on 2023 spec, I now have to take a 5 door.  Dealer said "what do you think about that?"  Not sure what he wanted me to say, if it's not happening I can't exactly change it.  His latest prediction was build date August, delivery September, which seems unlikely given the summer shutdown.  If there's no firmer dates by September I'm planning to look for a stock model or something else completely.

Hi Stephen

Any chance of a photo of your Fiesta as the one I have on order is also Chrome blue. After checking a couple of Ford showrooms I still haven't managed to see one in Chrome Blue. Only one I have seen is the glossy photo on a Ford brochure which is never real life but looks pretty good.

Really impressed with the look of my new Chrome Blue Fiesta...you won't be disappointed John...it looks so much better seeing it in the flesh especially after waiting so long for it 😁

Haven't taken any pics yet, might try over the weekend if the weather is good.

Although, I think its a popular colour cus all I keep seeing now are Chrome Blue Ford's...I see a Ford Transit quite regularly when I drive in/from work...plus several other manufacturers produce vehicles in a similar colour too...

Hi John. Yes, of course. I think it is a lovely shade of blue. I've had to take photos on my phone, so not the best and the light wasn't great (tried using my proper camera but the file size was too big to upload to this page!)

In summary, love the shape, colour, wheels (really do love the wheels), the digital dashboard is great, the seats, the drive, it is more economical fuel-wise than my last Fiesta, the scuff-plates, etc. I miss the folding mirrors as now I can never remember whether or not I have locked the car!

Many thanks Stephen. That is a really nice blue I am glad I chose it. I used to go for Deep Impact blue until they stopped it. This blue looks even better than that. Now for the long wait for mine to arrive.

There's an old saying, "Good things come to those that wait" and I am sure that will be the case for you too.

I've called 2 Ford dealers - one on Saturday and one today - both showing as vehicles in stock - both said they don't have them.  Asked the dealer today why they are showing as in stock - he says will have to speak to marketing department!

Isn't it an old trick to lure you there, and then try and persuade you to buy an alternative?

Yes it probably is, but the websites say search stock.  The dealer I ordered from for instance, only has one in stock.

Well that would save a lot of search time 🤣
