or was it that WBAC were offering £1500 less than the going rate?????

In recent years I've begun to think WBAC seems to set the prices generally. When thinking of doing a trade in, I usually also check out a few local used car dealers who I know are happy to make an offer, as well as WBAC. They check stuff on their mobiles nowadays instead of looking at a well-thumbed copy of Glass's or CAP Black Book, and I assumed they were looking at the respective apps, but I've caught them putting my reg no into WBAC.

I was doing a few background checks the other day on a car my brother in law was thinking of buying, and found the asking price was within a couple of pounds of WBAC. Coincidence?

Not copincidence. IMHO the trade has got used to people getting a quote from WBAC, so the obvious thing to do when a customer comes in is dial-in theier reg to WBAC to get a valuation, probably instead of using Glasses Guide, 'cos it'll be cheaper and easier to do so.

we sold my sons fiesta using
