Hi, so looking at the DTC the problem seems there is no communication between the APIM and the screen.

I think you need to get to the connector on the APIM (good luck with that) and check it is properly latched in place. This looks like either the screen or APIM plugs have become partly disconnected. It could even be one of the pins in the connector has been misaligned during manufacture (more common than you might expect).

Start with the screen connector as its easy to get to. Then it's time to dive in to taking your dashboard apart :sad:

Ye thought so mate, had a few ford's never encountered this problem, can I put a sync 2 init they seem more readily available. 

It will have to be Sync 3, but I still don't think the APIM is dead, it's more likely a connector problem

Then if your model is a Mk3.5 then the Sync3 from a 2017 should be OK

I have took the plunge and its booked in at ford next week, completely lost all hope 😂
