ABS blowing fuse's help and or advice needed :)

Featured Replies

That all looks quite normal. The extra tape is just used during the process of making the harness, simply keeps pairs of wires together.

sadley not i've been on/off hunting for issues but not yet found a fix. when i get some money together i plan on trying to get another abs unit as even though i have tried 2 and they have come back with the same issue (original and replacent) im starting to wonder if i was unlucky enough to have got a replacement with the same issue as my original one.

if your having issues with your ABS and you have forscan may be worth letting people know on a new thread what codes your getting back as someone here may be able to point you in the right direction. there's a lot of good people with a lot of good resorces on here 🙂

Hi, did you manage to find the reason for fuses blowing. I have the same issue. Car had been standing for a few months. Replaced front ABS sensors nothing. Found fuse blown, replaced and cleared codes with Forscan. Abs light out. Drove it 100yds and light back on. Checked fuse blown again.

sorry about the delayed reply been busy with work, i havent managed to find the main cause's as of yet but after replacing the ABS unit i still get the light come on but not blowing the fuse. changed it back to the old unit and same thing light will come on but fuse not blowing now so im guessing its wire related. if i ever manage to find out what it was/is i will be sure to update on here but at the moment im driving a diff car and not having time to look at it. hope you manage to work it out in the mean time and would be interested in knowing how if you do 🙂

currently driving a mk7 fiesta van with a 1.5tdci engine that has a 2 day turbo lag and 0-60 of eventually lol.

Any update on the 30A fuse blowing? The same issue has occurred on my sons fiesta. Doesn't blow until the vehicle reaches 15mph.

havent had a chance to even look at it for a while im driving another car at the moment so its been put on the back burner, however last time i checked it i was getting the fault without the fuse blowing so im still assuming its going to be wire related.
