As it's a used engine, that would come with used spark plugs fitted.  As Dave says, if you weren't charged separately for plugs on the invoice, then we have to assume that they weren't replaced.  Do you have the invoice to hand so we can see exactly what's been charged for?

Couldn't find invoice so instead looked at what spark plugs were in, looks like ones that are not bosch which I had put in as replacement before the old engine died. So yeah probably worth changing them and will let you guys know how it goes. Also still waiting to try injector cleaner for when I next fill up and I have purchased VLinker FD+ which should arrive tomorrow and I can see if anything appears on the more details scan via FORScan

Best to change the leads too due to age as these could be going down now

Simple answer No !!

You need either the 'vLinker FD' for an android phone OR the 'vLinker FD+' for an iPhone. The use of other adapters will put you back in to the situation of it possibly not reading both the HS and MS Canbus, and/or not reading all of the Ford specific DTC's.

Android version (£34.99): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vgate-Bluetooth-vLinker-Scanner-Diagnostic/dp/B08H82WC8L

iPhone version (£44.39): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vgate-Bluetooth-vLinker-Scanner-Diagnostic/dp/B08H8JHWP2

So I got this today from Amazon and have just plugged it in and done a scan, yes you were right it provides a lot more detailing than the bog standard machine I have had for a few years now!

No expert here myself on what I am exactly looking at but a couple error codes did appear on my scan which didn't on the other machine

P0630 - VIN not Programmed or incorrect - Is this due to the engine change? Anything to worry about here?
C0051 - Steering Wheel Position Sensor - Any solution how to fix this on fiestas or if it needs to be looked at?
B113E - External Boot/Trunk Release - Knew about ths for a few months now, not opening at the back and always need the keys to open the boot, there was a stage where it was opening by itself, probably the lock/mechanism needs replacing which is doable.

But that is it, nothing regarding what I am experiencing unless I am looking in the wrong area and need to look the vehicle info at all? let me know, I have screenshots of the whole scan so I can look through anything you may suggest.

Thanks for suggesting this gadget though, seems really good for what it does and probably can use it on other cars in future.

could be the button that you press on the back to open the boot..i had to do mine once.

Could be this too, I just got used to opening it with keys now so it doesn't affect me. The only one really annoying thing that was happening though was my boot would randomly open when I was driving without touching the keys or wanting it to open. It's stopped that now though without me changing anything so I am confused about that, I wonder if that indicates if its the button or mechanism in general?

Regarding the original post and what this thread is for, I have just returned from holiday and have put a full tank in with injector cleaner when I came home, I will let you guys know how it goes!

Also as anyone got any idea on the steering wheel error code I was receiving? C0051?

Will check this out,

So I used all the injector cleaner, and have drove now till nearly an empty tank, it has slight improvement but the problem is still there. I will probably buy new spark plugs and leads, install them and see how it is then. Reckon thats right next step to take?
