EML issues after timing belt change

My 2013 1.0 litre Fiesta Ecoboost recently had a timing belt change and on several occasions now the engine management light has come on.  The first issue was that the timing was off so the garage rectified this.  On the second time of this happening, they felt something was blocked so flushed the system and replaced the oil.  Fine for a couple days , but the warning light is back on.  Managed to borrow a DIY fault code reader and it is stating ‘P0017’ cam shaft sensor - these too have been checked and replaced.  Is there anything else mechanical it could be?  Any suggestions would be appreciated as it’s frustrating that they can’t get seem to get resolved. Thanks

P0017 is not for the camshaft sensor itself, but rather the synchronisation between the camshaft and crankshaft.

Basically, the timing is probably still wrong.

If the garage are sure the timing is correct, they could try VCT relearn using Forscan or similar.  That resets the cam position data in the PCM.

Well that will have done the new wet belt the world of good !!!

Perhaps they will be able to sort the timing out when they have to replace the wet belt again 🤔

Any advice on this @DaveT70 ?
