Unfortunately I'm old enough to remember when dynamos were still commonplace and alternators were replacing them.  With a dynamo, at idle, you would often see the charge light flicker, or get a z

Hi Mike,

Funnily enough I've just got off the phone from Ford CRC, and the person dealing with my case has left the business.....you couldn't make it up!! Their technical guy is going to get back to me with a solution hopefully, but changing the overhead switch might give the answer.

Having said that, if your 2023 car is doing the same thing, then I'm not holding out much hope of getting a resolution to be honest.

I still want to fit my Yuasa battery and change the SoC to 95% but must be patient with Ford CRC!! I can imagine the banging on about changing the battery and saying that invalidates my warranty!

Cheers, Steve.

A quick update. I finally got the dealership to change the switch today after talking with their "master technician". We looked at the electrical schematic and you could see the input to the sunroof module from the BCM where the global opening signal comes from.

The only other inputs to the sunroof module are from the switch in the overhead console. This was enough to convince them to change the switch.

The switch appears to have cured the fault.

Cheers, Steve.
