Hello all

wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction

Previously had no start or idle on engine, local garage have fitted new fuel filter and new fuel rail and now the car runs but still have a spanner light on dash.

current code showing is P009F - Fuel pressure relief control stuck on (according to FORScan)

Does anyone know the location of this or had similar issues ?

    Hi,

    This is a strange code for this engine. As far as I'm aware, the pressure relief valve on the 1.5 EcoBlue rail is a mechanical valve, not an electronic one.

    The valve is located at the opposite end of the rail to the sensor. Next to the low pressure fuel return pipe. (Basically if rail pressure gets too high, the spring inside the valve will open slightly and leak some fuel back into the low pressure system, reducing rail pressure).

    I guess that code could be triggered by the sensor detecting that fuel rail pressure is exceeding expected limits regularly. If that is the case then perhaps the spring rate on the new valve is stronger than the original.
