I reckon a nice two-line front plate will be more in-keeping with the white stripe running over your car with it being narrower than the horizontal retangle plate ;) - worth a photoshop? :)

As long as the plate is of legal layout (makers postcode, spacing, font, size etc) and fully visible from the front you will be ok.

I meant like mine lol, being square and more centred it may blend in with the stripes (kinda like continueing the central white stripe through the grille area).
