Lenny
A picture of your ford jacked up with its wheel removed parked on level ground. This will encourage anyone who can't yet change a flat tyre to learn how and show the results. Edited October 8, 2012 by iNath Red text :)

Lenny
Like this? ;) Yes just like that lol But gravel can be dodgey ground to be jacking on top of, very brave of you mate. Sorry on further inspection I see you used a 4 leg jack which won't slip on gravel like the standard single leg jack that ford supply with the car would. iNath
But gravel can be dodgey ground to be jacking on top of, very brave of you mate. That's why I always put the plywood down first. The one time I didn't the jack slipped, car fell on top of it and took a chunk out my side skirt :(
Lenny
That's why I always put the plywood down first. The one time I didn't the jack slipped, car fell on top of it and took a chunk out my side skirt :( Ouch! Very easy to forget things like that mate perticurally when focused on a modification or in a hurry to get some where afterwards its easy to forget about the surface or ground level. ManxKat
ha ha well that was one I definitely couldn't have done!
Lenny
ha ha well that was one I definitely couldn't have done! Come on Manx park on some solid level ground. Loosen the 4/5 nuts then line up the jack to the point under the car. Turn the handle to raise the jack thus lifting the car. Then unscrew the nuts completly and push hard inwards on the top of the wheel to seperate it from the hub. Followed by pulling outwards to remove the wheel. Then take a picture. The reason I chose this picture was to encourage those who have never changed a wheel, to give it a try and learn.
ManxKat
I really really should have a go I know, but my main worry is not putting the wheel back on properly and it falling it off while I am driving!
sambooka
No need to worry about that just as long as you apply a decent amount of pressure when tightening them. Come on join the rest of us with scuffed knuckles from using the jack ford provides
Lenny
I really really should have a go I know, but my main worry is not putting the wheel back on properly and it falling it off while I am driving! Id tighten them with the spanner by hand then press on the spanner with half my body weight to ensure tight. I'm 92kg so that would be 46kilos of torque lol but I'm 6.2 so I carry it well lmao
ManxKat
Actually, feeling quite inspired! I reckon I should have a go because if I can do it I will feel really good and not such a girl!!
