Hey all... I ordered my new fiesta last week in february.

Now awaiting delivery but when i ask my dealer for an expected date he said he had no idea??? I read somewhere on her they take around 4-5 weeks from ordering but thought i'd ask you all if you could sort me out as you all seem to know more than my dealer...

ordered mine Jan 15th, Build date 13th Feb and still waiting. It is at holding pen at Dagenham.

Forgot to add the Estimated Delivery date was 7th March.

Crikey... I've ages 2 wait? I was hoping mid april. Meant wouldn't have 2 re tax my current car.

Ordered mine 31 Jan expected delivery 21 April. Depends on colour ordered. They apparently build by colour

Mine was ordered mid-end of Jan I think, can't remember now.

Was built on 18th Feb. However we were told that if we wanted black/grey dashboard and seats it would take another 3weeks as they had run out of material, so to get the car on time I chose the dark red interior, which I am now more happy with because it looks different to every other car.

Came into country on March 1st, took them 12 days to give it a wash and polish.

Expected date to get it was 21st March, actual date was 12th March.

Took an extra two weeks to come over as they sent it to flushing.

Then had to go back to valencia before they could put it on another ship to finally come here.

See I was very impatient, got the sales advisor to go through the system to see what zetec s they had in the holding depot which is only 15 mins drive from the dealership, was told that they had a frozen white one that someone had ordered but then changed his mind about something, his loss my gain, I snapped it up (even though I wanted black) especially when I was told I could have it in 3 weeks, ended up picking it up 2 weeks but that was because we waited until 1st Dec to qualify for the lower VAT rate lol.

i done the same as shell, i looked through the ford system, wanted a 1.6 in titanium but woiuld of had to wait til march 09 when i was lookin in november, so i chose a black titanium x in 1.4 and with the money i saved from gettin a 1.6 i added keyless entry and power button and auto stuff and x wheels etc now lookin at gettin lowerd scoop difuser

I hadn't intended to have a brand new model was hoping for a deal on an unwanted 58 plate, but got carried away in the showroom... lol!

Ordered 1.4 Frozen White Titanium with Dress up kit, Tech kit, etc... went for the works. Lol!

was told beginning April but my dealer told me yesterday could be as late as end of May!!! (hope they just saying that to cover their backs)

Cant wait for it to FINALLY arrive!

for the white you be waiting a long time as they are seemed to made to order as white cars are rarer than anyother colour and not normally everyones 1st choice, but its only of a ford fiesta a white colour looks best on... good luck with it an let us knw, u should add door sills too, i just got mine an look smart.

Did your dealer give you an expected Build date? It will be 3-4 weeks after that. Any longer deserves questioning...

The ford system gives the estimated build date at the point of ordering so if the salesman cant tell you that date, talk to his boss...

I was giving my build date of 6 march and my dealer confirmed it was built on that date :) and should be with them around the 4 april, when do you think i could get the car then?

And why is it taking so long to be delivered to the dealer :(

Patrick, mine was built on the 11 February with an ETA week ending the 7th March. It came on the 2nd. Generally, you're looking at 3-4 weeks from the date of build to delivery to the dealer. Fiestas are either built in Cologne (Germany) or Valencia (Spain). You've got then delivery time from the factory to the european ferry terminal, then it's a boat trip to Dagenham (London), then to Dagenham rail for a choo-choo journey to Halewood (Merseyside) where all Fiestas are distributed from to your dealer. This may help explaining the 3-4 week delivery time? <_< Of course, all this is subject to driver strikes, etc.

That's great news! Just makes me more confused though. If mine's been built already - why is my delivery date first week of May too?

I still have not got my build date. I ordered mine first week of March, so hopefully its very close now if your's is eh? Common, give me hope!! ;)

still within timeframe promised when ordered on 30th March.

Rang my dealer 3 times yesterday. He was busy with other customers. Still waiting for a call back. Must be patient. Will harrass him on Thursday when its supposedly 2 weeks to go. I did speak to him on Wednesday cos my current car tax is due for renewal. He said it was up to me whether I renewed the car tax and then claimed for the months I didnt use or just gave them the car at the end of the month and be carless until I got the Fiesta. Sounds scary but I think I will be carless at the end of the month. :o

Mine took roughly 6 weeks, ordered on the 28th Feb. Built on the 25th March in Cologne, then it went in to Halle-N for mods the same day. Shipped on the 27th.. but then there was an issue.. but it just turned out to be a backlog of paper work. It then landed in Dagenham on the 6th, and then went straight out a couple of days later and went straight to the Dealer in Grays on the 8th. I then picked it up on the 11th.

They advise 6-8weeks.. but this all depends on the parts they have on order and in-stock. They have had problems recently with obtaining stock of the larger displays and couple of other things (can't remember what they all were now). But that is the reason for some of the delays.

Mine was nudged forward a little as I have a very good friend who has contacts out in cologne, he also tracked it all the way. Plus the Dealer was phoning me letting me know of any problems.

I've asked my mate and he has kindly said that if you would like to know the current status of their orders then he will have a look.. all he needs is the Dealer Code, Order number and NSC, best to PM me and I will get the info back asap.

Nice one mate. My dealer hasnt actally given me the paperwork with these numbers on it. Maybe i should pop in to the dealer and pick it up.
