So tempted to get one of these!! Got my zetec s on Thursday last week so it needs a bit of a run in first - proper fast as it is though!

When you plug the Bluefin in and it takes a 'copy' of the standard map, you then upload and wait for the new map to be emailed to you, how long does it take for the new map to arrive? I'm thinking of installing this all on a Saturday, will they email the new map on a weekend?

Straight away with mine any way, read the standard map then flashed the bluefin map

Well another problem has developed with the map that is fine with the stock map :(

Restarting a warm engine (stop / start) causes the engine to idle rough for a few seconds.

Superchips have been notified of this today so watch this space :(

With the known problems with the map I'll wait a bit before buying the Bluefin. I also talked to our best national remapping specialist and he recommend that I wait until my car has driven between 1860-3100 miles (3000-5000 km) before remapping it so I guess that will be around the same time Superchips got the perfect map ready for our Fiestas :)

I received the updated map and installed it into my car on Sunday. On the way back to London from Wales I experienced some problems. I had the cruise control on and set at 80 mph when I came to an incline the engine started juddering like it was going to cut out!!!!! I tried other tests I put my foot down in 5th doing 70 and same thing juddering 1st,2nd,3rd ok but 4th to 6th gears same problem when foot down to full throttle.

Well been to Super chips and they had the car for 4 hours but could not re map the engine, they wanted to give me a hired car but that would be no good to me as I have to have a permit to park in west end London. So anyone with a ford Focus 123 ecoboost near Buckinham they would like to have your car for a few days to develop the map.Get in touch with Ian at superchips and get the deal (what that is I don't know) Willy Ian said the Fiesta 123 map should work ok. Colin. Ps no compensation

This is nice to know for sure. I would really like the Bluefin but as things are I will also look into other possibilities.

I like Celtic tuning I think you get an extra 60hp but the only downside is that it can't be removed freely

There's no way you get 60hp, sorry.

Celtic Tuning's website states a 35bhp / 48 lb/ft increase. I'd still prefer the bluefin just for the sake of being able to install/update/remove it yourself!

Thats not proof, just the claimed HP, probably done on their own, or non- independant dyno, as well as that, it has been found that chasing "on paper" power can be bad for "on the road" power/acceleration, as the power band can gat narrower and turbo-lag increases as the power goes up, (everything else being equal) so i would take anything much more than 145/150HP claims with caution, or with a very big pinch of salt

Don't really fancy reading through 400 posts do we know what chips work etc now?

I followed this thread back in last year cars now on 10k miles so might invest...

Unless you have cruise control, it is worth getting believe me!

Do you have any issues with the start/stop and rough idle? Or could that have just been a one-off in a previous post?
