I for one am bored about hearing ST owners pressing their views on other Fiesta owners questioning why they didn't buy a ST & suggesting tuning a 1.0T isn't worth it I agree they are amazing cars

I have a decat, miltek non res cat-back and a induction kit would all this work well with the bluefin map or will the engine just blow up? Also hoping it will get rid of my engine management light :/ really want this map but scared of blowing it up

I wouldn't have a clue, where did you get your induction kit from?

I got the mountune one for the st off a mate :) but auto specialists sell a good one have a look on there

Doubt it would blow up. But you wouldn't get the best out of your car. With the mods you have a custom remap would be advised. Superchips would be able to sort that.

other tuners would also be able to. Just down to preference.

I just want that warranty, might give them a call later see what they say

The bluefin would work but wouldnt take advantage of the extra mods. Im sure they woyld put the custom map onto a bluefin aswell.

I can agree with you. I feel exactly the same. I feelt some power loose immediately after remap - but it only happens when I floor it on higher revs. Also think that it might be TC trying to keep wheels from spinning.

All right, at least its not just me. Did some more aggressive driving today with TC off and no power cutback issues. Kinda weird tho, It doesn't feel like I'm getting any wheel spin when TC is off, so strange that it keeps cutting back the power with TC on.

Strange no tc light comes on when you feel the tc cutting in(if it is that). If you spin the wheels intentionally does the tc light come on?

With TC on, the light will come on if you start spinning for a certain amount of time it seems, but with a very short duration spin, it will not light up. So my theory is that its slipping just for a tiny bit, many times after one another..

On a side note, even with TC off, you can actually get the TC light to show up in the dash. So its not completely off. I managed to get it to light up in 1st gear with TC off when flooring it on a wet road.

To elaborate:

- TC on: I get power cutback at peak power in both 1st and 2nd gear, without the TC light starting to flash in the dashboard (all though it does light up if the roads are slippery)
- TC off: I only get power cutback in 1st gear, never 2nd gear, also without TC light lighting up (all though I have managed to get it to light up in 1st if the roads are slippery)
The difference between TC on and off leads me to suspect its the TC's fault.
On a side note, the car is so much more fun to drive now :) Looking forward to it every time. Just a bit of a hassle to turn off TC every time since its default on.

Fully agree :-)

Is the tc being on that much of a killer that is has to be switched off all the time. Not that I want tc on but I defiantly want to be able to enjoy the car without having to switch it off every time I want to use the extra power.

It's still powerful with TC on, it only cuts back if you put your foot to the floor, in second if I travel at 40 and then floor it I find no cut back. It's mainly 1st that cut backs around the mid rev range with TC on. With it off in the wet it just spins a lot!

Id expect it in the wet. Maybe some mental grip tyres can sort it out :-).

I tried the android app ulysse speedometer free for some 0-60 times only did a few. I know they wont be accurate but they were fairly consistent. Slowest first.

Will be interesting to see the difference after the remap

For reference I'm on winter tyres atm, and it has been slightly wet outside lately. I'm sure this will not be an issue with dry roads and summer tyres :) And like Jordanch is saying, its not all the time.

I had a go with this also, though I've only been able to try it in the wet, fecking weather. Managed 10.2 with a lot of wheel spin and tc cut back in first, so was expecting to get at least 9.0 in the dry as I can launch it well when there's some traction! As above, it's not perfect but it's a good guide and will be interesting to see what people get before and after remaps...

Did you have to pay for that app? If not I'm happy to give that a go - have some perfect roads where I live to try it.

Heard from superchips today

Hi Colin. We have had very positive feedback on our enhanced remap for the Fiesta 125PS, and we are in the process of adapting it for the Focus. Then we will amend our websites and notify existing customers that the new version is ready to download.

Ulysse speedometer has a free and a paid version (has more options on it)

Those times were on a dry day.

Downloaded from apple store, will get back to you and let you know.

The best time ive seen is 7.1 seconds, i consistently get under 8 sec 0-60mph times

I know i have a lot more torque and a heavily modified, lightened car, but i would have expected quicker times than that with a remapped car,(140+ Hp) its still a lot slower than an ST - i suppose its amazing for a 1-litre, though

Even if it posts a time for example 8 seconds, that's well over a second faster than it's standard time, and only a second slower than the ST. The ST 0-60 time is 6.9, realistically 7? And that's a 1.6 with a larger turbo than the 1.0..

For comparison of how power the the 1.0 ecoboost remapped really is, here are standard cars which you could compare a similar market too (Latest models)

0-60 claimed times

Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 SRi 98bhp - 11.5 seconds

Vauxhall Corsa 1.6T SRi 147bhp - 7.6 seconds

BMW 116i M Sport 134bhp - 8.2 seconds

Renault Clio 1.2 TCE GT line 118bhp - 9.6 seconds

Audi A3 Hatchback 1.4TFSI sline 120bhp - 9.0 seconds/1.2 TFSI sline 103bhp - 10.0 seconds

Volkswagen Polo 1.2 TSI R Line 103bhp - 9.4 seconds/1.4 TSI BlueGT 138bhp - 7.6 seconds

Seat Ibiza 1.4 TSI FR Edition 138bhp - 7.6 seconds

All I personally believe are in a similar market, although a lot you will find are more expensive than the Ecoboost engine tier. Before buying my fiesta I was going to buy the VW BlueGT, so as long as the remap can achieve a similar 0-60, I will be really impressed by that.

I love this thread - as I can see that I`m not the only one :-)

I`m also on winter tyres - so I count that if i put my summer 17"s it will stop doing that "TC" thing.

Jordanch - you also noticed that after remap there is that "power loose" ?

Thats good to be honest - it means that car is working perfectly well and this is not an issue, but "safety stuff"... :-)
