Well another problem has developed with the map that is fine with the stock map :(

Restarting a warm engine (stop / start) causes the engine to idle rough for a few seconds.

Superchips have been notified of this today so watch this space :(

Well been to Super chips and they had the car for 4 hours but could not re map the engine, they wanted to give me a hired car but that would be no good to me as I have to have a permit to park in west end London. So anyone with a ford Focus 123 ecoboost near Buckinham they would like to have your car for a few days to develop the map.Get in touch with Ian at superchips and get the deal (what that is I don't know) Willy Ian said the Fiesta 123 map should work ok.  Colin.  Ps no compensation

Mine is problem free. No start/stop problems, no cc equiped=no problems for me also :-)

As i read and follow this thread - I was trying to find this mentioned issues and I took attention to details and tried to notice issues but...with no luck :D

Although mountune say their remap is imminent. They are not prepared to release any figures :(

Hopefully they give us something soon.

Once a bluefin has been installed it is locked to that car. It can only be used as a diagnostic tool on other cars. It can be sent back to have the map reset for another car but at a cost.

No. Can only be registered with one car. Handset needs to be returned for reset if used on a different car ( at a fee) which is around the same cost of a new handset.

Hello guys

Are any of you having and issues with power loss/cutback when flooring it in 1st and 2nd gear? I'm having this problem after installing the bluefin remap, all though I'm now suspecting it might be the traction control kicking in. There is no flashing light in the dash as you would expect, but if I turn off traction control it seems to be fine so far. I haven't done much testing yet so might be a little early to say.

Could the traction control be activating like this even though there is no flashing icon in the dash?

Other than that, I'm having none of the other issues people have described here. I have the 125ps titanium model with cruise control , and the power increase is very noticeable :)

I find that it can cut some power or some kind of loss in first with the TC on if I really floor it from idle, makes 1st feel horrible. I haven't tried it with TC off, 2nd and 3rd are my favourite but despite having more power I try to drive better so I can increase my MPG because I never find myself having no better than 40mpg :(

Yea, 2nd and 3rd are the best :) When it happens, I initially get a strong pull when flooring it and then it starts to loose power/hesitating for 1-2sec (usually around 3-4k rpm range) before pulling strong again. Its only apparent in 1st and 2nd gear. I will do some more testing today with TC off.

I can agree with you. I feel exactly the same. I feelt some power loose immediately after remap - but it only happens when I floor it on higher revs. Also think that it might be TC trying to keep wheels from spinning.

Guys, if you have not got the remap already and contemplating upon getting it. I had an Email from Ian who is managing director of Superchips and is looking for someone to bring in their 125ps 1.0 ecoboost focus for a revised remap. Now heavy discount does apply so instead of paying £350ish you pay only £125. You have to supply your car to them for the day but you will receive a courtesy car for the day too. It's a great deal, they are based in Buckingham of you aren't aware.
