Featured Replies

Hers's how to disassemble the Ford Focus centre console push button switches (for those who want to change the internal LEDs).

The truly observant may have spotted that I used an ESP switch for the pictures; I was going to fit it and make it work properly as per the Focus ST, but the insurance company didn't like the idea of a safety related item (i.e. the braking system) being modified so that rather put the mockers on that.

P.S. If anyone knows what colour silver (Moondust Silver ?) the switches are painted with then I might recycle the ESP switch (by changing the emblem) for switching my front parking sensors on and off.

Great Guide Rob I'm sure it will be of great help to others,

The moon dust silver dash is a different shade to the moon dust silver body panels,

The dash shade is slightly darker than the body colour if that helps mate,

Maybe bring the switch to halfords and have a match can built for you.

wow cant belive i havent seen this,

quick question on removing the switch from the panel, i know theres 2 screws holding the whole panel into the centre dash, but how does the switch come off that panel? do they come out of the front aswell of back?

There are two plastic lugs on the rear of each button, push them in with a screwdriver or some other blunt instrument and they will pop out of the front of the panel.
