DPF internal removed yesterday and has given 3 times the increase felt from egr blanking,

Levin is now top of the list,

I've took a bit of the dpf combe home for a Souvenir lol

The DPF would have been the main bottleneck in the exhaust system, holding the 2-1/2 inch system back - now it can reach closer to its potential (the turbo is almost bound to spool up faster, and probably worth a few (measurable) Hp on the dyno too)

I got a look at the flexi-downpipe too,

Its already 2.5" internal diameter the same as the exhaust so its now 2.5'' free flow from cat to tip,

Only restrictions are a 1" micro mesh cat and the muffler :)

Such a shame that you have come this far but not done the last little bit - if you got that bit done you might not have to wait for V so much if she was following you in your Levin!

Is the muffler a "straight through" tipe? (not very restrictive)

I'm guessing vickis response to this will be something like "I'd be happy to be miles behind him in the ugly car"

But anyways the muffler is a straight through type part of the kit from piper,

And I asked if it would be OK to remove the cat too and he said best to leave it in there so I did.

But I notice it deeper base grumble like a mustang lol

Not loud like raspy loud but yes more deep base grumble

And sounds good in 5th the grumble idles when boost is low and crushing at 120kmh

But when you floor it in 5th you hear this surge of grumble as the boost rises lol

Are cats different from petrols to diesels? only wondering as I have a new 200 cell sport cat lying around ;), would of thought it would sound different Lenny, I know when it all comes out they sound weird like a chuf chuf lol

I think they are different mate, The focus now sounds like an impreza that repedative grumble on acceleration.

Because petrol gives off different gasses compared to diesels so the catalyst would be different to neutralise some of those as it passes through,

will have to check but aint stainless, peeps go mad for stainless but stainless is brittle and dont like going hot then quenched with rain water, it cracks mate especially with 4 branches etc, of course there's exceptions to that rule but it gets pricey.

Spotted a Levin BZR today on the way home,

It drove past me, my focus is lowered but the roof of the Levin was 3-4 inches lower than the roof of the focus,

What about the silencer? isn't that after the DPF? I want to have the DPF chopped out etc and new exhaust fitted. who done yours lenny? and is it 2.5" from the down pipes all the way through including boxes of course?

Well mine isint exactly like that,

But piper exhausts in the uk made mine,

Its 2.5" internal from the dpf chamber all the way through the flexi and muffler is 2.5" aswell,

Piper sent mine over ready built.

I got a portuguese who could help with the language barrier and get it sorted even possibly pick it up for me

That is with dpf and down pipe,

It bolts on to the down pipe a straight swap,

If I was you I'd purchase the turbo down pipe there too,

Then get dpf electronic delete,

You can then fit the new system,

Pop the dpf back on for not,

Or get the shell fitted to the new turbo down pipe.

Yeah i did find it in english thanks bud. on the photo of the two line system, did they put it together for photo purposes? is there a link there where DPF connects? i think i can see it from the pics but not sure. yeah i think i will purchase this kit including the turbo down pipe it's not a bad price. will have a word with my mate and get him to order it for me
