Merv130
Thought it was about time I did a project thread, I have been on here and done a fair bit of lurking. I'll start with my previous car history... car 1, vauxhall corsa c 1 litre, I had it for less than 9 months before I got rid. car 2, Renault Megane 1.4 dynamic, bought standard and by the end looked like this I then purchased a seat leon 2lt FR and didn't do anything bar drive it and clean it Finally I saw sense and moved onto a 2011 ford fiesta s1600 with 4100ish miles on the clock in August. A few pics from the day I bought it and parked beside a friend later that evening
Merv130
This was the second fiesta to join the household with my brother already having a titanium didn't remember to take photo of the milage when i bought it, but here is a blurry one 700 miles down the road
Merv130
Next mod something I have done to a few of my cars. before during after next I went about changing numerous bulbs on the car first to go were the number plate bulbs and i purchased these comparison with one fitted and one standard both fitted how it looks in daylight

Merv130
next to go were the indicator bulbs on the wing mirrors which got changed to silvatec 501s before After then the side lights got swapped for cree LEDs before after the front indicators got swaped to silvatec as well as did the rear but I forgot to take a picture
Merv130
I then bought and fitted Steda lowering springs and gave the car a good clean. The results
Merv130
I then made a trip to the local scrap yard and picked up these at a bargain price fitting the interior lighting standard replacement I then hooked up the LEDs with one of these boys to give me an ignition live from the fuse box
Merv130
the result bulbs swaped out for LEDs and with the sunglass holder in shot also purchase these for a bargain £10 to replace my ford motorsport ones for the winter I also bought the sony cd player over eBay and striped it down ready for a mod I have planned
Merv130
few night photos I took just after I finished washing it late one night next mod was to purchase a second hand J1 kit before and the kit after i had cleaned and oiled it after pic to follow a car we were working on the same day I was fitting the J1
Merv130
also spotted this when I was over in Plymouth I then purchased a mountune short shifter and had the bright idea of starting to strip down the car in the evening meaning it got too dark for me to finish  this is how I ended up driving around until I had the time to finish it off eventually stripped down and comparison between new and old and fitted
Merv130
a photo of the mountune short shifter after everything was put back together and I then had to drive about in the car for a week with all the trim missing another shot of the ambient lighting behind while i had the trim off
Merv130
and the reason for having the interior stripped was to get it carb dipped including the air vent surrounds on the sony unit. the result I also installed cruise control and got it carbon dipped at the same time incredibly rubbish night shot photos do not do it justice at all, easily one of my favourite mods The sony unit is DAB compatible but I have yet to hear of anyone successfully retrofitting it, which is a shame. It might be an area I look into in the future my mate got the ST inserts from his focus done at the same time
Merv130
I had a xenon kit lying that I had installed in the Leon, and due to laziness and being very busy I didn't get around to fitting it until recently. First off I ordered these off eBay for the bargain price of 99p. not the best quality if i'm honest but they do the job next I set about fitting the kit standard Xenon and both done apologies for the filth of the car

scousa
Looking good mate, any closer pics of the carbon dipped parts? See the ambient lighting strip by the glove box, what does that connect to cause I have the strip already in my car but it doesn't seem attached to anything Sent from my GT-I9300 using Ford OC mobile app
Merv130
cheers guys, you wouldn't think it was clean if you saw it now! haha I have a load of stuff planned, but due to being very busy I probably wont get much done until after xmas scousa there should be a connector on a wire somewhere, I think I found it clipped into a blanking connecter behind where the strips goes through the dash. i fitted it in august though so my memory is a bit hazy. I'll get more pics over the next few days of the carbon dipping. limited to camera on my phone as my camera is broken.

Merv130
Hi mate they are built in, there are 18 leds in each I think, here is a link to the one I bought. He mustn't have any stock and upped the price to stop the listing being lost. because I definitely didn't pay that price for them http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Focus-Mondeo-Fiesta-Kuga-LED-Number-License-Plate-Light-Xenon-White-FORD-/360641897810?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AFiesta&hash=item53f7eea552 I just checked and I paid £20 delivered and got £3 back so he could use photos of my car in his listing
