yep wing mirrors are off, the splitter is part of the mountune apron, so it was on before.

makes a surprising difference to the look of the car

pity about the holes left behind

They are off as the car is currently in a bodyshop to fix the shody repair the previous owner did on the front bumper and I decided to do something with them while the car was in.

got the car back and alot happier now that the front bumper was fixed, they ended up having to plastic weld it as it was cracked behind the grill

Cleaned up and polished these parts while the car was away

the main reason for taking the wing mirrors off was to get them painted while the car was in the bodyshop

I also picked up a second hand milltek catback for a good price, it was in a bit of a state though. I forgot to take any photos when I got it, but I gave it a good wash, de-tar and dry

it is probably a bit overkill as you will only see the tailpipes once it gets fitted, but I do tend to be a bitt ott with cleaning and it means that if I ever decide to take it off and sell it on, it will be in a lot better condition.

Looks really good mate, mirrors look fresh and the exhaust literally does look new. Good work.

Thanks, It was a massive pain in the !Removed! to get the inside of the tail pipes polished up, but I think it was worth it in the end.

I can imagine it was Hahaa, done a really good job though and definitely worth it in the end, looks immaculate.

That exhaust looks brand new, you put some elbow grease into that haha

liking the mirrors fella look good.

you done a great job on that exhaust looks brand new

mirror looks good m8 :) how much did it cost if u dont mind me asking :L and where did u find that exhaust?? ive been looking for a while and found one on ebay but it went within a heartbeat lol, im torn between a full cobra exhuast setup or just a millitek rear back box ??

  • Author

Thanks guys, after driving with the mirrors for few days i'm loving the difference. Looks far better in my opinion.

Well pleased with how the exhaust has come out, hopefully get it fitted at the end of the month

Daniel, i'm not sure how much the mirrors would be separately, I got a few things, including getting the bumper fixed, at the same time. Next time I talk to my painter i'll ask how much he would charge for them.

I found it for sale on one of the forums, had it for over a month now, wasn't going to put up pics until I got it fitted but it came up so well after polishing I couldn't resist.

Full cobra as in decat and catback? I would keep an eye out for stuff coming up second hand mate, save a fortune that way.

Cheers m8 ive got a couple of things i need painting but not got round to getting them done yet still, and sweet nice one thats alright then, and yh full system sports cat its the same price as a millitek back box £380 for everything so its a cracking deal :)

went away for a night in the lough erne resort and spa (where the G8 was held in N.I.) with the other half, there was some amazing scenery. I need to invest in a decent camera, this was the best I could get with my phone, pity a few bits were away getting painted at the time.

I had hoped to have a few bits fitted by now, but my painter has let me down, hopefully have few more updates at the start of the week

So I decided I wanted spacers that were a bit wider than the 15mm I currently have and I got hold of a set of 24mm ones. Taped them up and attempted to paint the edges gloss black to make them less noticeable one on

I decided to paint the rear drums while I was at it, rubbed down with wire brush, then used the compressor and alcoholic wipes to clear all the crap ready for painting

very nice indeed, cant go wrong with Meguires products, they are expensive but they work, and to be honest I still haven't replaced any in 3 years and I do a good polish of the old car every 3 months.

I have HID lights and would love those Xenons, once you have driven with them everything else looks bad

  • Author

cheers man.

Yeah I decided to give their ultimate polish a try, the angel wax wheel wax in that pic is brilliant, i made the mistake of using too much the first time and it was a nightmare to get off! smells awesome though.

are hids not the same thing as xenons?

looking good and could I ask where you got the black wheel nut covers and black mcgurad locking nuts from please

  • Author

Hi mate, wheel nut covers were around £10 from ebay, black locking wheel nuts can also be got from ebay, but I picked them up through work with my discount.
