It petrol mondeo alternator top back u only need 15 spanner take tension off u must be thinking off a Diesel engine cause no special tools required for petrol one is handy an straightforward

Hi Guys, I came across this issue here and it appears identical to a problem I've had. 2002 1.8 petrol zetec Mondeo. I've had 3 alternators in 5 years and now finding I need another 14months after the last one and having covered only 5000miles. I'm just checking things out now and noticed two brightly flashing lights. One is the clock and the other is on the radio behind the removable facia. These flash constantly as soon as I turn off the car - they don't flash when the car is turned on. I've fully charged the battery tonight and I am sure it will be dead tomorrow. You reckon this could be the drain? Fly in the ointment - tested the charge capability when revving the engine and it wasn't as high as it should have been. Any suggestions very welcome.
