Cheers guys i was a bag of nervous cutting it haha, used a compressed air disc to cut it after marking it out but it went wrong twice so thats why its soo small lol haha, but its equal and looks better with less border so im happy :) just need this !Removed! much to hurry up and arrive -.-

Mesh mesh where are you mesh ?.. Where did you order your mesh from ebay?

There are some pretty shady sellers on there and I don't mean our guy in Thailand either :)

I didnt read the small print can take 7 days to dispatch and up to 10 days for uk delivery :( starts crying lol ive emailed them and will see :( but it was the best mesh i could find, stainless steel powered coated 9mm by 5mm diamonds :)

I got:

1) A stick on numberplate .

2) An unofficial mountune gel badge

& 3) the import number plate

Going outside as it's a good day and have a good excuse to chill out with my fiesta :)

what I'm going to do ... Or I May get plate like yours and chop it... hmmm .. Decisions ...

... Hopefully I can get my original numberplate out of my front window soon Aaahh :)

the best way no doubt is to saw the uk plates down ,like dan so they can fit ...these number plates & placements look weird ? lol ha ha ha :) not too sure?.... time to get sawing .. Back soon

I like the 2nd one with the stick on plate on the side! Don't think it's legal however, but the square plate looks proper good imo

I like the square plate but isn't that particualr size of square plate only legal on imports? Thats why I had to get the bigger UK-legal version which has characters & spacing the same size as on a regular retangular plate. :-(

I just got one of these from ebay ... they fit the gap for the front plate perfect ,gonna put this on with strong fixing pads or screws - so I'm all legal and don't get any hassle from the law plus my car is due for an mot in 3 weeks time :)

didn't know that the square import plate I got is illegal & the illegal plate positions on the front of the car....thanks for the info people ! ;)

Well here it is guys ;) the mesh on the grill, just need to fit it to the car tomorrow along with me having a ago at the rs vinyl wrap too ;) and of i get enough time the splitter :D

Looking good, how easy was the splitter to put on?

Not very, the prep work was hardest, get the car jacked up, clean the bumper and remove the scuttle panel, then clean the bumper again, i layed under the car holding the splitter, my dad went along and marker penned the holes for the bumper, then made sure it was equal both sides, put a bit of glue (tiger seal) on the underside on the bumper where the splitter will sit and bolt the splitter in place and tighten the bolts right up, let the glue set for an hour, then make sure the bolts are really tight then take the car both off the jacks its a two man job defo

That's not too bad, what's the scuttle panel? I take it this must need removed to get the nuts on?

The scuttle panel is a bit of plastic to stop any stones flying up into the engine i think but u have to remove it to fit the splitter and it had 4 clips holding it on easy to take out

Of course you realise, or maybe you don't, that cutting the front number plate to a non regulation size,not having a BSI mark and the EU or GB symbol on it is illegal and is a precursor for a pull by the police or anpr cameras.

I did check yh, there is nothing saying i carnt cut the number plate to a different size the 520mm by somthing is only a guide not a law thats on the dvlas website, also the gb badge is optional unless i go abroad then i need one which this carnt wont so it doesn't matter, also the letters and font are legal and ive passed 3 police cars on my way to getting petrol this afternoon, and not one gave me a funny look or double checked so i think im fine and also the bs number isn't there no thats the only illegal part of them

Yeah dans right, I checked up on it all when I got my plates. It's pretty rare that you'll get pulled for no bs number, pretty hard to tell it's not there

I know the bs number in full length is around 3cm so when someone drives past at 60mph are you really going to see it and is a camera really going to see it im that much depth i dont think so, and cheers i know i spent hours seeing if it was legal and i admit it doesn't have the bs number so they are illegal but everything else is fine :)

Love it! the painting has seriously made a big difference to that grill ... Worth the delay ... I may have to do that & stick some mesh behind mine in a few months for sure.... The lights and splitter on yours look awesome too dan ,

I got my numberplate on over the weekend - ended up putting it on the grill with screws but pretty pleased with it ... This plate has no BS number but the letters are the correct size & height, I will see if Ford will pass my mot with it on in the next two weeks ?

Btw this is my 100th post in the club - My feet are now under the table! At last :)
