So after a good breakfast with JBeer this morning I decided that the car needed smartening up and prepping for the winter. Started off with a shampoo using Meguiars NXT Generation, moved onto a Meguiars Clay Bar to get rid of any imperfections. Once happy with that, moved onto Meguiars Ultimate Polish and finished off with some Liquid Wax also Meguiars ;) I could become a Meguiars REP here!!!!

Before anyone makes a comment, I know I never blacked my tyres because I never had time. Anyway, here's some piccies. Few weeks off cleaning now :)

defo after Christmas I will look into colour coding my fog rings and also look into getting that k&n induction kit like lenny has got

Sounds like a plan to me!! They will make a big difference but nice and subtle at the same time.

  • Just realised no Ford Fair Photos went up. Took 16 hours to prep the motor and was really happy with the way it turned out. Was nice to meet a couple of you guys even though I wasn't on your stand.

  • So, Spring will officially start next week so I thought I would give the car a quick Spring clean. This morning was a little on the chilly side so I decided to use Mequiars gold wash and wax to get a

De-wiper boot would look sweet

I am tempted although it's removing functionality. Does look so much tidier though.

By visiting jason its put on an effect on how to keep car in showroom condition. Btw what was the occasion having breakfast at jasons?

I didn't eat at Jason's sorry. The FFOC West Mids region try and meet once a month for a breaky. It's at a Toby Carvery on the Stonebridge island in Birmingham. £4 all you can eat breaky ;)

the connects2 camera is top quality

Boot door strap is great function for me too because the kids can reach it to pull down the boot after putting in there school bags,

Before fitting the strap they couldn't reach the boot to close it,

Aside from that it adds a sporty touch to the boot,

Extra WOW factor right there 😀

Can't see the connects2 one. Product not found on dynamic sounds. I'll probs be going for the Pioneer one to match the radio anyway.

I was going for pioneer myself aswell but I prefer the Connects2 version because it looks factory utilising a part of the car that's already there and shows Ford how they could have done it

Even though it quotes Mondeo would it still be compatible? I like the look of it and I understand what you mean in regards to the fitting of it. Mmm I need to see some videos of both I think

yep it's the exact same part number as saw in my guide the CAM-FD1

The pioneer cam is permanent live which can be used as a rear view camera when driving that's an advantage over Connects2

The connects2 camera is only live when reverse is active but i suppose could be wired to ignition live.

I favour its integrated in to the boot handle and perfectly centre, can see bumper in video.

it's great in day,

Doesn't have night vision but I do have dual Cree led reverse bulbs which are bright enough.

Im looking at the ND-BC8 at the moment. Great resolution and picture from that. It's just like you said about the bracket and what not.

I had considered mounting it inside the diffuser section of the bumper,

Would be protected from stone chips by the diffuser beneath,

Mount it inside the rectangular gap 😕

Nar.. Wouldnt look right. Good choice you made lol. It would ruin the clean look to be honest. Keep it to where it should be ;)
