Couple Of Questions (2009 Focus)

Featured Replies

You will need a new headunit with the option of fitting a ford cd changer I think they have a button called cd dj will take a photo of mine tomorow if you want. Then you can get an adapter from connext2 you can then control your ipod through the headunit and steering column. It treats 6 playlists like cds and can change by pressing the number and skip tracks also charges it aswell

thanks guys

I have an ipod 5th Generation, classic , 80Gb, here :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPod_Classic

If I cant do it with the standard stereo (or the Sony one?)

I have an alpine single din unit here from my last car that I bought, that's a dedicated ipod player, I could install that, but I don't want to change it really..

So which connector does your ipod use?

Is it older style or lightning?

If the older style then that adapter i linked will work.

It gives you charging, remote control and a cable to plug into an aux connector.

im guessing I have the old one

I have one of the units I linked and use it for my ipod touch 4.

It charges the ipod and has remote control buttons on top.

You just plug a 3.5 stereo cable between the unit and an aux input and job done.

just been thinking about this again, does this device let you change albums and artists or do you have to do that via ipod still ?

also my cigarette lighter is always on, is that the same as all other focus Mk2.5's?

All mk2/2.5 have permanent power to the sockets.

I think You should be able to skip albums with a long press of the arrow buttons.
