Had a look at the cams.. May be a possibility..

I've just had a trip to halfords with a mate in his GTI.. God it pulls like a train!

Got to halfords to be given abuse for being ginger by staff (turned out to be a misunderstanding?)

I then went on to buy two meguirs drying towels and some trim restorer on 3 for 2, then of course added my 15% discount! :D

Love seeing there face when ya whip out the discount card lol

I saved 9 euro this month in Halfords using the card :)

How can they get at you for being ginger?

Isint the whole Halfords logo surround ginger aswell like WTF!

His colleague asked if it was a Honda card.. I nearly told him where to stuff my purchases!

They were trying to be funny but as I was with a ginger friend of mine they soon became rather rude! Not revisiting that store again!

Had a few deliveries these past few days.

First I had my Das6 & Auto finesse Revitalise system. I used the system on a few customers cars and was quite dissapointed. It struggled with anything but soft paints, I just about managed to do my roof with it.

I've now received some menzerna polishes and pads, to which I'll be adding some hexlogic pads too! Hopefully my paintwork will be gleaming for Ford fair (excluding the rusty arch :( ). Hopefully I'll have a few other Ford's in too!

Nice,

XR2i = restore and keep tidy

1989 VW Golf = drop it on coilovers, excessive negative camber on stretched rubber coated deep dish bbs rims, one yellow fog light other one missing,

, few laquored rusty panels,

14" tall exhaust pipes cut at 45degrees, cost hanger aerial and a dream catcher on the rear view mirror.

Maximum Street Credit Respect!!!

The XR2i is the showroom condition overpriced corner decoration! Haha, although I did witness it being driven out the showroom yesterday as I let it pull out in front of me.. followed by a golf!

I'd rather stay away from the dub scene..

Unless I eventually have enough money for a new scirocco! :D they're beautiful

Hopefully having a look at a few different fiestas as I'll be looking to upgrade in a few months time

Nice,

Work mate of mine has a white 2.0 Turbo petrol Scirocco, they give alot of trouble with ignition coil packs,

I loaned him a bluetooth elm327 to diagnose them hiimself because dealership wanted 75euro to connect diagnostic in order to replace the correct one,

They went again few months later,

Maybe the solder inside them melting due to heat soak from such a large engine and small low down grill design.

I dunno same engine in the heavier GTi golf and give no trouble.

I just love the styling of them + they pull like trains! To be fair my model fiesta has coil pack issues (not on either of my cars, touch wood)

I just want a turbo now.. I'm getting bored. Even if its "just" an ecoboost

Get yourself an EP91 Toyota Glanza V

1.3 Toyota 4E-FTE Twin-Cam Turbo engine weighs 980kg last built in Japan in 1999

Plenty of them arround mostly in white or black, some silver but red is very rare,

Fit a toyota corolla 4 branch inlet manifold and front mount intercooler,

No ecu remaps required,

Just a boost gauge and a T piece valve,

Open valve to bleed off air pressure to actuator,

This keeps boost on for longer lol can modify up to 350bhp

There 120bhp stock

Somehow I don't think my insurance would be impressed with that :(

Yeah my insurance definately wouldn't be happy! Haha!

Whenever I go over the number I just get blown side to side.. sometimes backwards... Not a chance of accelerating anywhere near as fast as that :(

Went to ford earlier.. they didn't even offer me a cup of tea :(

What they did offer me was several different finance options for a zetec S red edition..

I havent yet decided what I'm doing.. but it's safe to say I'm impressed with it!

Due to my age they've said they won't eh able to let me test drive a 140ps but they'll arrange a 120ps! Now, who says a 17year old can't blag a test drive? ;)

Tell em to quit B S and let you test drive,

We have all saw dash cam footage of how there service mechanics test drive customers cars lol

If you remapped the 120 shir it would be 150

But doesnt that limitation sales tactic make you really want to finance a 140ps model :)

Like there dangling a carrot

And to be fair i wouldnt offer a 17yr old a cup of tea neither,

More like a bottle of fizzy pop and packet of Walkers ;)

I'm going to go for the 140ps version if any! As its only £40 more per month

They offered me 750 for my old car! They can do one!

Think you should come work for Ford lenny... Suggesting giving kids fizzy drinks.. that would mean them spending money!!! Haha

Any car that holds a valid MOT is worth at minium a grand in my opinion,

If selling with the sub and everything as it currently stands id say around 1,700

The type of buyer you need is a fello or aspiring enthusiast in the blue oval,

A buyer whom has an eye for detail and whom appreciates the level of detail that has gone in to the motor,

All of that is wasted on a buyer whom is just looking to purchase a small hatchback vehicle .

Your choices now would be:

1.

Strip out all mods and give it to dealership for 900

2.

Leave it as is and invest time in marketing it for sale yourself as a well looked after enthusiasts car,

You will be apealing to the aspiring enthusiast may be hard to find may not,

Bottom line "whats the difference"

If i sell to dealership or market it myself,

Well your looking at a reduction in around 4-8 months finance repayments,

It is for you to decide wheater you would prefer to:

A.

Wash your hands with it at 750

B.

Take the time to market it yourself and deal with the public,

Both options have there advantages,

With A its a clean sweep done and out of your way no time spent marketing or waiting for buyers to arrive consuming your weekends.

However with B when it sells you then have the option of reducing your overall finance bill, or buying a few modifications for the new car, or paying off your insurance for the year.

Just discussing things through. as i know buying a new car is a very exciting time we sometimes forget to consider all pro's and con's
