I know how you feel, had my fiesta 3 weeks hit a pothole and blew out the side wall.

Went back next day to send pictures to the council and someone else had hit the same one.

The worst part is the council refused to pay!

Having read this last nite i thouhht id hop outside to check the tyres on my focus,

Rears fitted in March are fine,

Fronts fitted last September are almost down to the rubber bridge on the channel so July will be an expensive month for me aswell and i haven't even been driving it since mid May vicki's been putting it down

Id love to make some smart comment about the council but unfortunately they pay 3/4 of my wages! haha! but you get what i want to say.

I've just ordered some pirelli's via asda tyres! thought id give it a shot as i dont have to pay until the day.. Which isnt for another month. For now im using my old wheel.. which is 195/50/15.. Whilst the other 3 are 195/55/15.. oops...

Vicki must've been racing the local mums whilst on the school run! haha :). If only my mum would do the same whilst taking my younger relatives.. Save causing a queue behind her -_-.

Looks like its a bright led that mate,

What are you smoothing on the bumper?

Speaking of smoothing you may like to view my guide on smoothing the rear wiper,

I done mine in early May and happy with it may be similar procedure on your fiesta see guide: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/70383-guide-de-wiper-ford-focus-mk2-mk25-rear-wiper-removal/

I've fitted one in the boot light too! 10x better than before

I've got a facelift bumper in the shed.. Smoothing the plate recess! I've then got some LED fogs and a debadged grill to fit :)

I would remove the rear wiper but it would drive me crazy having a stalk yo activate it and it doing nothing. To remove on the fiesta you just remove the plastic boot trim, remove the wiper from the outside using a socket, then after removing the motor wack a grommet in it

Hahaha! Just googled ricer and I suppose you're mostly right :(

I suppose other than the import aspect, he ticked all the boxes :p

(Ricer: from the latin word Ricarius meaning to suck at everything you attempt)

A person who makes unecessary modifications to their most often import car (hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster. The most common modifications are (but not limited to):

- Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder

- Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747

- Lots of after-market company stickers they don't have parts from, but must be cool

- Expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself

- Bodykit to make the car appear lower, usually accented with chicken wire

- Clear tail lights and corner signals

- A "performace intake"- a tube that feeds cold air to their engine usually located in areas of excessive heat (behind or on top of the engine)

- Most of these riced cars (a.k.a. rice rockets or rice burners) are imports; Honda Civics, Accords, Integras, CRXs, RSXs, Del Sols Mitsubishi Eclipses, Lancers, Subaru Imprezas, however there are some domestics such as Chevrolet Caviliers, Dodge Neons, Ford Focus; small, slow, economy cars designed specifically to go slow. Please note that some Supras, Skylines, WRX's and other higher performance imports are designed to go fast, and are therfore not always considered rice. It really depends on the severity of the case.

The "ricer" attempts to make their car "performance" by adding the modifications listed above. These ricers are not confined to any one ethnic group or color, however different ethnic groups are known for certain styles.

I saw a black Mk6 fiesta van yesterday had a 3" tall sticker on back window at 45 degrees said "Agri-Spec"

lol obviously a farmer,

I wonder if he had agri fuel in the tank aswell

Had a race with a 1.2 corsa SXI earlier.. Had a bad start with tonnes of wheelspin (roads were soaked) and he pulled away faster than me. didn't have chance to keep up. Beat me to the next closed roundabout by about 5 feet :(

Came across him again later on on a not closed public road.... he started giving hand gestures so I thought.. Yeah, why not. Pulled out, dropped into 3rd and floored it! As I got level with him he put his foot down. Car sort of krept forward then I left him for dead! Hahaha. Just goes to show that torque does play a role. His car had a badly installed induction kit, but from stock it's 83bhp (he tells everyone it's 99). I have 79 stock! Torque on the other side.. 1.2 NA v 1.4 NA.. (unless it's a deisel) isn't gonna be such a race! Blooming vauxhalls

Quite unusual to meet the same person on two closed public roads in the same day,

It is indeed! I also got shouted at by some old gentleman for pulling off a mini roundabout into a car park "indicate you *nsfw* idiot". I for one get infurtiated when people don't indicate.. so when I get accused for it.. when he simply wasn't looking.. not a happy ginger, especically in this Sun!

What makes you think that?! :(

I want a turbo :( :(

What makes you think that?! :(

I want a turbo :( :(

Leaving modifications unfinished for some time, (joking)

You can upgrade your cam shafts to Piper Performance cams would give aroun( 10-15hp increase,

But would involve alot of work,

A job worth doing along with timing belt etc. As the head would need stripping.

Alternativly get yourself a 1.8TDCi focus

Or

A 1.3 Turbo Toyota Glanza V last built 1999 Jananese import vehicle built on chassis of the uk starlet EP91

120bhp stock can be upgrade with parts from ToyTuning in the uk to 300bhp

  • Author

Had a look at the cams.. May be a possibility..

I've just had a trip to halfords with a mate in his GTI.. God it pulls like a train!

Got to halfords to be given abuse for being ginger by staff (turned out to be a misunderstanding?)

I then went on to buy two meguirs drying towels and some trim restorer on 3 for 2, then of course added my 15% discount! :D
