Ok guys, i have a 2003 ford Mondeo 1.8 zetec petrol

iv'e just swapped the engines as the old one was blown,

the engine codes are different but i have swapped the ecu, fuse box, ignition barrel, immobilizer and the clocks.

when i try to start the engine it doesn't even turn over.

all connections are in and the starter motor is good to go.

any ideas?

Flat battery ?

Is the immobiliser doing the right thing (presumably, whatever it used to do)?

the battery aint flat its fully charged at 12.62 volts

there is a red light on the clock just about the heater control that is just flashing. its not going mental just a continuous flash every 2 seconds or so

  • Author

no clicking or anything whilst trying to turn it over. just dead

The flashing light is the immobiliser light, so it looks like an immobiliser problem, can't help more than that

So any ideas how I can fix this problem?
