New Owner Help

Featured Replies

Hi I have today taken delivery of my new mondeo 2010 1.8tdci zetec it has the cd6000 system inside with bluetooth and voice control, what it doesnt have is bluetooth audio which would be useful how easy is it to get this added ? I would appreciate any help or advice thanks

that's expensive a better bet would be to go for 8M5T-19C112-AM or later for a similar price or less, All versions after M support streaming and you get the benefit of USB , To be honest if you have usb you will never use Bluetooth streaming, mine cost me £60 +£5 post, only other extra is a standard usb lead

Thanks guys would this model work 8M5T-19G488-AR

After Alan posted i did a read up and module check on Microcat.

8M5T-19C112-AM or later is what you need.

The 19G488 modules do have USB but not A2DP (bluetooth streaming).

That is wrong The 19G488 certainly DO NOT HAVE USB, not sure about streaming cant remember using or not before I changed mine although version AP, any module that has USB will say so on the label.

add: Its also worthwhile knowing that these modules are not model specific, i.e. mine came from a fiesta

Just in case anyone see's a picture of a 19G488 and notices the USB port. This is a service connection only and doesn't work for music. As pointed out above, only the 19C112 models support USB.

The confusion comes from the fact that there are so many modules in use (not to mention ones with different languages installed as well).

To clarify once and for all - It is the 19C112-AM and later modules that support USB, A2DP, voice control and have the English voice interface.

All in agreement?

Agreed including the service usb port, also worthwhile mentioning that A is the English Language and M is the version, I have noticed non English versions on sale.

Also note some people report having to have the software activated but some like myself was a straight swap with no software change. if necessary this can be done using modified elm 327 or Ford garage.
