Immobiliser Active Message While Driving

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I know there have been a few immobiliser active posts already but i have not found any reference to this issue.

The Immobiliser Active message has popped up a few times recently while my daughter has been driving the car but it does not stop anything. When the car is turned off an on the message clears and we do not have any issues starting it.

She has just has been using the spare key for the last 2 months as I have the original and no issues up to now. Previous to that the spare key was not used and still has the original battery in it.

Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated but first and foremost I want to confirm that it is still safe to drive.

Thanks in advance,

Ger.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I have the same intermittent error flashing up but car seems fine otherwise. Thanks.
