pragmatix
Looking for recommendation for a replacement 3 button fold out key fob, seen plenty on eBay but just wondered if anyone had experience of any. TIA Pete
Gezzs
Here's the one I bought back in 2013 for my Mondeo:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Mondeo-Focus-C-Max-Fiesta-3-button-flip-key-fob-FO21-Tibbe-blade-repair-/151009887020?hash=item2328e4032c I had to modify the inside to fit the transponder chip, but it's worked a treat since. pragmatix
Looks good what's needed to programme it?
Stoney871
If you already have a flip key just change the blade head over for the immobiliser chip and program the locking circuit in the ignition. If it's a replacement for a duff or lost key you need someone with access to an IDS programming module. Auto locksmiths are the best option. I'd ring a couple for quotes. pragmatix
I have a working key just the buttons are getting dodgy, so just swap the blade and the guts then?
Stoney871
The transponder is in the blade head so just buy a new key without the blade head, transfer the head over and reprogramme the circuit to the car using the turn'n'press method.
