Mondeo Mk4 2012 - Sensor Issues Boot & Bonnet

Featured Replies

Hi,

Any help on this one would be much appreciated - The car is a Titanium X and sometimes won't start if left more than about 3 days ie. airport car parks. The people who try & restart it have real difficulties & have to use 2 sets of cables it is totally flat. I think this happens when the boot isn't solidly shut and therefore the electrics don't close down properly. After the 2nd time this happened I went to Ford they kept it overnight & found nothing wrong after all their tests. The strange think about it when you don't close the bonnet properly it doesn't register as "Bonnet Open" straight away, however about 2 days later on start up it might do so - the same thing happens with the boot also. What ideas do you have on this one as Ford don't seem to have an answer.

Thanks

Willyum
