Mist Jets For Mondeo Mk3

Featured Replies

I've seen mist jets advertised for the latest focus and fiestas..but do they make them for the mondeo mk3...the ones I have are twin nozzled and heated and work okay.. its just that I hate the after dribble, especially after you've spent all day washing&waxing the thing and a I've heard that the mist type don't..

Any replies much appreciated as usual fella's...

Not seen them for a while but they where available had them on my MK3 and they do dribble or at least mine did and not that great went back to standard.

Thanking you pragmatix...

So they still dribble...hmm and then back to standard...

When I switched to mist washers on the fiesta, I had to upgrade the tubing size to get a decent mist. Without it they just trickled out along the lower half of the screen

Typical of Ford to complicate a simple matter....I see a determined effort on fords behalf to make sure a part of a fiesta won't be useable on another ford (to protect its own parts supply no doubt)!!!

I think they are standard fitment, are yours heated or not? if they are, the ones in my signature should work! I bought two for mine, and it worked!

Hi jeebowhite..yes they are the heated type,I don't know the exact advantage of fitting mist jets as I've never seen them before and not seen them in action so to speak.. I was hoping to banish that boring dribble, always happens as soon as she's waxed...no matter how lightly I tap the wash button..

I'll video my washers just before I wash the car within the next few days if you'd like

Hello Gingerflame, now that would be handy fella..I'd be thankful for that, I have never seen them as said..but from what's on the forum a lot of people seem to find them better at coverage I finks...

Once again thanks fella..

It will probably be Sunday! I don't really use my washers anymore as the glass sealant seams to prevent too much dirt attaching itself

Cool man..

There are three types of jets, 'standard' are when you have two streams from each jet sprayed on the windscreen, so the windscreen is only contacted at 4 points, then spread by the wipers.

'fan' jets spray the water out in a fan shape (triangular) though the spray coverage is good, it still tends to only have a band across the windscreen about an inch wide which is contacted by the water before the wipers spread it.

The 'mist' jets basically spray the water everywhere by reducing it to q much finer level, as such about half to 3 quarts of the windscreen are contact, before the wiper blades spread them around.

As I am check my signature, a pair of Ford oem jets can be bought for around 14 quid through a deal I reached with Kevin over in China. If you buy them in the UK, its then going to cost at least double that.

I have just put mist jets into my fiesta and I love them! Not sure if the focus 2011 ones fit the mondeo? but worth a shot!

If you are near by you are more then welcome to borrow my old ones to see if they fit the mondeo?

Cheers!

They are universal these days.
