Rear Driver Side Door Not Unlocking / Window Not Opening

Featured Replies

Hi friends, hoping someone can offer some much valued guidance.

I have a 2008 Titanium X 2.0 TDCI Mondeo estate. The rear driver side door lock is no longer unlocking and the window is not opening. The inside lock cannot physically be pulled out and will revert back to the locked position if pulled. There doesn't appear to be any noise coming from the lock or the window when I try to activate either.

So far, I've checked the fuse for the door (seems ok) but I'm a bit lost what, if anything, can be done next.

Any assistance would be much appreciated!

have you checked the door loom.if you open the front door then look on the front edge of the back door, between the hinges you wil see a rubber seal with a connector. Try undoing connector and re fitting it. It might even be a broken wire in the door loom.Seing as that dose all the electrics to the door

Hi guys, thanks for the replies.

Having a bit of difficulty actually disconnecting, is there a knack to this?

Cheers again.

Mark.

They turn to unlock

Have you checked the fuses? each door is individualy fused in the boot box if I recall, if the fuse is gone that would do it. I forgot to put the fuse back in one day and had this issue.
