So my dealership isn't authorised to sell the RS directly but another branch is so salesman will get back to me early next week with confirmation of costs. Hopefully going to get a test drive with them as well.

Going to be a long weekend and then potential 6 month wait for delivery. Advantage is I'll have paid another £1k off the ST so deposit should be covered by my trade in.

I'd like to have this for Ford Fair but I will just have to wait and see now.

Our dealer seems to get a pretty good range of cars.

There are always loads of ST's there. They've got 3-4 mustangs there at the moment.

I'm keeping an eye out for an RS when driving past, I'm sure it will be in Nitrous Blue (the colour I would pick least)

I'd go Black body and Black alloys, not that I can afford one though :(

Just spoken to my salesman and they can get me the car and finance is pretty reasonable about same as I pay now. They just want a £1000 deposit so they can order then delivery is estimated as .........

^ Lol, I suppose that's not so surprising if everyone wants this car, but 9 months is a bit long to wait.

I could get a cancelled order earlier but spec wasn't what I wanted and if I'm spending £30k I might as well spend £33k for fully spec'd to what I want.

^ Yeah that's what I'd do too, it's easy to get used to having all these gadgets in the car. Are they not moving on the price at all? Need to have a look at Carwow and see if they there are any good deals going :)

Also I find it funny that you can have it with active city stop. As if the huge Brembo brakes aren't enough to stop you.

Was going to go for an RS next but had a little bump in the car at beginning of december and its gonna shoot my insurance through the roof on another ST let alone an RS!

Ended up ordering an ST3 in stealth... Maybe next time eh? Insurance should be cheaper once I'm 25.

hi all the door man down at my local told me last night that the rs has been put back till late summer . man i would love one but i think its just going to bee a car you canny park in the street

That Carwow quote was only out of curiosity, so don't be jealous of me because there's no way I could afford an RS.

And that's the other thing putting me off, I kept worrying about my Fiesta ST when it was new, so I think if I had an RS I wouldn't be able to let it out of my sight.

Aah I see. I did a quote on carwow. Only one came back and not a penny off list price lol

they won't discount it, they don't need to.

Yeah.. I think the mk2 did get some kind of privilege discount eventually though so I'm hoping for the same on this one.

I have considered waiting till early next year see if any deals start to appear but I suspect not and then my ST will be worth less as well so might as well do it soon.

I think I've just about scraped the £1000 together just a few things need to come together and if they do I'll pay the deposit next week.
