I have a 2010 Mondeo 2.0 tdci 140, this morning I started the car as I set off there was no power ( as if turbo wasn't working) has I continued drive foot to floor, suddenly turbo kicked in and fine perfect but at same time engine malfunction light came on, it does this everytime I start the car, iv reset the oil service light but it still appears, any help or suggestions? thanks

    Not exactly the same issue BUT!.

    Sometimes when driving along the whole dash blanks out "as though the engine has switched off" for about a second. it then comes back on.

    The car continues to drive with no loss of power. This has happened with cruise control on and off.

    I had a local performance car garage look at it but could find no faults in the ECU to explain this.

    Also my son's 60 plate Focus Titanium often wont start as it does not recognise the key. Sometimes it lasts for a few minutes then it is OK and the car will start but on other occasions it takes up to 30 or 40 minutes. On one occasion I had to disconnect the battery for half an hour when the car totally refused to start.

    Has anyone experienced any of these issues and if yes is there anything which will resolve them?
