Mondeo Keeps Going Into Limp Mode

Featured Replies

If you drive the car normally in 1st to 4th gear it seams to be ok but if you give it a bit of welly it goes into limp mode (glow plug flashes) but if your in 5th or 6th up the motorway it goes into limp mode then a few seconds later it cuts out completely but you can re start it straight away,Iv done a code reader and it comes up with code 0251 which is 'injection fuel pump metering control 'a' cam/rotor injector' does this ring any bells to anyone

Thanks in advance

Sorry the only thing Iv tried is the fuel filter and it's no different

Could be camshaft sensor easy part to swap and cheap £20

Cheers I will try that tomorrow

Right changed that and it's still the same but Iv been reading and some people get the same symptoms when their injectors have had it

Fuel filters rarely work. Had this problem on and off for a while then more on than off. Did all the usual ie filter change etc. Turned out to be turbo actuator. Got a whole turbo off ebay for £60. 2 min job to change actuator.
