Nice one Michael! :)

What do you mean by the Fiesta will be yours?

Are you transferring the plate over Mii? :P

Wicked!! I'm really pleased for you, Mike :D I bet you can't wait. I commented on your FB, suggesting you have a look at co-op for your insurance - seems to be the cheapest

I finally got it for £1655 as me as the main driver, with my brother, mum, dad and sister as named drivers (although NONE of them will drive it because ITS MINE) :D

wat car are you insuring, is it the one in your profile pic?

Crikey, that's not cheap is it! My first car was about £800 for me TPFT as named driver on a K reg 1.1 106

I remember my first fiesta a Mk3, in blue. was awesome.. little 1.1ltr

I paid £1300 for insurance and that was just 3rd party.. sucked loads.

4 years later, driving a Mk7 and insurance is dirt cheap :)

wow, thats expensive...

1st car was a Mk3.5 1.6 16v Si, with mods, 3rd Party+FnTh, no other named drivers, Pass Plus, 600quid!!!

Ouch!

:)

its because im 18 and a male which means i speed, i drink and drive, i smoke weed and drive, i murder small children outside schools by running them over, my car scrapes the ground and has 32" alloys (undeclared of course) and i will write it off within minutes. DUH!

No i haven't. i think i've left it too late, i;ve picked up habits my driving instructor would be ashamed of!

That doesn't matter. So long as you meet the requirements of the varying road conditions and whatnot, the instructor will just tut for letting a few bad habits sink in. As long as you can demonstrate control of the car (you did pass after all), you are fine.

I gave my instructor £100 cash and he took me out for a few hours and signed me off (covered 80% of the adverse conditions in my normal lessons).

It knocked off £250 for my first insurance on a 1.25 Fiesta MKIV Chicane. Worth doing.

Thanks for telling me what you meant matey. I can't even remember my first insurance costs? lol!! But I can now afford to have Direct Line with all the goodies, just drive very safely and it will soon go down. just remember, car insurance is so high cause of personal injury, not car damage. That's why your house will probably cost half your Fiesta or less a year to insure!

If it makes you feel any better Michael, my insurance when I was 17 on my R reg 1.1 Peugeot 106 third party fire and theft was £2200! In retrospect I can't believe that I paid that much, the car only cost £1200! Think it was a combination of being young, male and living in not the best area (my mum lives in a bit of a crappy suburb of Bham). Saying that I !Removed! loved that car, it weighed about 10 grams and when it was just me in it and I'd had a light lunch felt pretty quick! Until the head gasket went and the exhaust fell off that is. :D

Who says being old is no good. My first car was a MKII 1.6 Ghia Escort, £300 dabs, TPFT.

I now insure my M3, fully comp, protected no claims for less than £500. B)

What with house prices and car insurance, I think I'll leave you whipper snappers to it.

its like with petrol prices, we can moan all we want about it but we need it and we don't have much choice in the matter regards to how much it costs!
