Cheers Phil you don't want to know how long it toke me to complete and how many bits ended up in the bin after not going on right 😂

My review:

Id taken her out yesterday for a 30min drive came back and couldn't put my hand on the intake pipe due to it being to hot, and tonight as I'm off work now for a few days I went the same route around the same temperature and made sure she got up to temp both coolant and oil, gave her a blast came back hand on the intake pipe and well I'm actually really impressed, it was cool not cold not ambient temp either but I could happily hold the intake pipe even near the turbo at the back without it feeling hot for £20 I call that a success!!

Like the new system youve got there pal. I'm looking at the Graham Goode Carbon Fibre Unit for mine to keep it enclosed and to make the most of the big mouth i have installed.. you get the pipe from ITG ?

Liking it all so far and you've got some bits i want to get done :)

Yh pipe came with the ITG kit, awesome bit of kit love it so far

You going to get the map redone to equate for the induction?

As the previous owner went for the CP300 package it already had an ECU flash done after it had the induction, intercooler and exhaust fitted, as the ECU is clever enough to know the drop in Intake temps and increase fuel to adapt to the denser air it will be fine, I'm going to get an more efficient intercooler and sports cat fitted in the coming months so will possibly have a tweak of the tune then but as I've technically not changed or added any other components to when it was flashed it should adapt on its own, I'm looking to add other performance parts in the latter of the year and possibly hybrid and bigger injectors next year so it will need a custom tune rolling Road tune not just a flash

but it went out for a 2 hours drive today a couple of photos taken, again the induction system was cold after a very good blast down the A11 :)

Not really done a lot atm to the car got a few things planned in, and a lot of bits in the shed but having to wait for a little help to get them fitted -.- but here's some bits I've done this week.

IMG_2219.thumb.JPG.d1b766df2b41bfbdef5088b21817ecc0.JPG

wrapped the new new mountune lower charge pipe in heat reflective roll to aid more cooling, if it's as good as the induction hard pipe should help keeping temps down!!

Then this happened -.- smashed the splitter leaving a car park today snapped in half and broken 2 bolts holding it on so it's now in the bin and a new one to be ordered, going to go for a more lower profile one so it doesn't bring the front of the car down any lower as it's pretty low already

IMG_2222.thumb.JPG.0426ab35ef44283641299ef55a080797.JPG

new DMB number plate came today :) like the clean front end look more just needs the splitter to be back present :/

I'd like to know this as I'm in two minds weather to tint mine of not

  • Author

I'll get a picture of it for you's, but I tested it in a car park and my mate said he could see it clearly indicators ain't to bad during the day outside, the brake light got the same amount of coats so I'd say it's good, I've been followed by numerous police cars and no bother...?

Here's the photos of the brake light for you guys

and im toying with the idea of having the Fifteen52 cup cpoilers fitted instead of a splitter and painting the inserts in the grill like this

IMG_2239.thumb.PNG.9126d7838d67aa2c5cdfa68ab4986685.PNG

hmm 🤔 What you think?

I like, It stands out from the crowd and not something you see everyday 👍🏼

cheers for the pic of the brake lights and it looks good. I have just used some stuff like fly eye for mine and it looks ok but not got round to putting the spoiler on yet.

the cup spoliers will look good colour coded and like the washer jets.

as they say its the simple things that make the biggest impact

Jonro you'll have to fill me in on the joke? I'm not sure I've heard this one haha

spent the morning giving the girl a nice clean de-comtanination wash wax and sealed - off out to see my mate about those spark plugs later

Also removed the stickers on the rear to give it a more cleaner look - pics don't do the colour and the flake justice knew I loved this colour for a reason!

I think this is one of my favourite cars at the moment, I love the colour and all the mods you are doing. I can live vicariously through this thread lol. Have the pin stripes gone? I was never a fan of that particular mod but that's just my opinion. If they are still there then ignore my last comment, I think they look ace 🤥 I do like the wind deflectors, I had them on my Fabia MC and I am just going to order them for my MkV Mondeo. I can't decide if they are going to look good though, the car is white and there is chrome around the windows so I'm not sure. Any thoughts? How do you feel about the shut lines at the front of her bonnet? I've been lead to believe it is something to do with air flow but I keep thinking it isn't shut properly.
As I said, love the car and enjoy following this thread [emoji41] Jon

Yh the pin strips went not going for the look now it's done to much, going for the clean look, I like these team heko ones more than the climair ones, I had those on my golf and they are really broad stick out a lot these are slim are hardly notice they are on tbh, I'd go for then mine were only £25 delivered for front and rears!! Well I adjusted the bonnet stoppers, I've spoken to a few people and they've said it was to aim air flow but I can't see what it's going to help tbh, like I have the big mouth Intake which scoops the air up into my CAI, the intercooler and rad are in the bottom and centre grill so there's nothing left to cook down really apart from ambient temps but my engine bay ain't that hot any more tbh, plus I've got a couple of things planned which will only Benicit the temps ;)

cheers for the kind comments, I'd adjust the bonnet so it looks closed like it should do.

had te plugs installed the ones that came out had done 35k not really that black but now I'm not sure if it's in my head or not but it seems to pick up revs quicker?? And idles better a lot more crispy sounding probs just me thinking I've spent £45 on them so they must have made an Improvment 😂

Also forgot to mention painted the door grab plastics gloss black, just got to work out how to get the steering wheel V off to paint 🤔
