well need to fit the oil catch can again, front top strut, a deep clean next week.

then come payday there may be a few things in the post ;) have to keep an eye out

not at all, remove the fog light bezzels, fit into place with tape route the wiring and secure into place plug all together and insulate the connectors and connect to the battery, if you walk away from them and go out of Bluetooth range they turn off and turn off after locking the car if you wait 10mins, plus you can still be connected to the radio play music and control the colour from the app controlling them :)

Any chance you could do a small video?

You've been a busy boy, and looks like your gonna be even busier!!! So looking forward to seeing your next posts.

Amazing. Those dials are the dogs. Did you do them yourself ?

  • Author

Dials are from a company called gauge face uk, so easy to change them over toke an hour to do, and yes going to get very busy soon :) first job starts today need to change my recirc valve after getting some sleep, night shifts suck, also wish I was at Ford fair this year but hey ho next year will soon come

One forge valve fitted had to replace stock hose looked shocking

loving what you have done and like the sound of the other plans and look forward to seeing some more up dated pics

Still really enjoying seeing your car modifications. Some of the mods are beyond me though lol. How did you change the dials, what did it entail?
Not that you will, or even should be bothered but the only thing I'm not keen on is the decals/stickers. That is just a personal preference though and I'm probably in the minority anyway. Do your insurance company get fed up with you ringing them every night lol

The dials are dead easy to do, once the units have been removed a small flat head pops all the clips off then using a wide fork prise the needles off the backgrounds are changed just push into place then plug the units back in still in bits and no needles fitted go into the test menu and do a dial sweep which goes bottom range top range and then they set to zero takes 2 seconds then put each needle back on at the zero position carful not to move the motor units redo the dial sweep test make sure they are in correct position unplug units rebuild them and fit back into car job done :)

and well insurance little things changing the dials and new forge valve, brake deflectors I haven't told them as they already either know about that part being modified or it's such a small mod it's not worth the admin fee, like changing headlight lamps I knew a guy who tells them about that and it's like really to me that's maintenance, when I change something big that changes the cars handling or power output they will be notified and I try to do it one go so I don't have to constantly pay £25 admin fees haha

Hi i was just wondering does the petrol additive really work? only ask because a few people have said that they don't help and can cause damage etc etc.

Love the car by the way it looks brilliant and the custom gauges are amazing

It's one of those things that's been tested time and time again tbh, they work to a degree I use either shell v power or Tesco 99 momentum fuel both 99Ron rating and with additives in already, so the extra stuff I use is purely to make sure the fuel is 99+ will it effect the power no, not unless your car is custom mapped on say 101 rom fuel, my map is only 97ron so 99ron fuel ain't going to add 20bhp and neither is this additive what it is going to do is clean the fuel tank line filters injectors manifold valves block pistons etc so it's a cleaner burn less carbon build up means less power lost and a healthier engine :)

the only other noticeable thing they do do, is reduce the amount of ignition timing the ecu cuts and less knock on the pistons the ecoboost engines suffer from the ecu pulling timing out a lot when it detects any knocking going on

A nice little update :)

got myself a cobb accessport, removed the Collins cp300 tune back to stock and installed the cobb stage 3 98ron tune produces 2psi more boost and feels stronger higher up the rev range than the cp tune have to run 99ron fuel all the time tho, but the beauty with this is that I can change the tune to anything I want that's installed on the cobb in about 2mins :) it does have a stratified crackle tune but not going to use it as have heard many horror stories about them so it's just a safe tune for now,

decat should be fitted this week with new spark plugs again 😂 This time they are J gapped which is proved to burn a lot more and reduce coke and suit build up

Finally got my new steering wheel, fitted the cruise control switch and wiring loom

cannot wait to get this on now!

edit: also if anyone wants instructions on how to cut the wheel to add the switches and wires see this guide that i used and also the part numbers are on there for the bits needed :) http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/tutorials/article/274-retrofitting-original-cruise-control-on-a-focus-mk3

looking good fella and like the look of the new wheel

Got these fitted last night and this morning!!

SS tuning gear know and gaitor and some solid shifter bushes to stop the old crappy Ford rubber ones from flexing while you try to change gear, + with the weight gear knob changing gears is a breeze no more cluncky gears and so presice I recommend them both!

I also have some solid bushes to fit in the gear box bracket it's self as well

Hopefully have some more bits done later or tomorrow!

Liking the look so far! The steering wheel from SS? If so which store did you buy from and what negative things you heard about stratified??
