mud flaps

Featured Replies

when i bought my mk7, the dealer said that the standard mupflaps WONT fit the fiesta if it had the optional sideskirts fitted. was he pulling my plonker?

how much do they cost? £20 a set or so?

thanks

thats true...was on another topic lil while back...sorry!

Won't the back ones still fit though?

No, the Zetec S has a different rear bumper with an extra moulding on the lower edge, which means the fitted mudflaps don't fit :(

Fair enough. Hopefully Ford will offer a set in time - better than those floppy-chavvy 'rally' ones imo!

Couldn't agree more about the rally flaps - unless they're fitted to a bona fide rally car, they look awful IMO

As for Ford making a set - don't hold your breath, they never bothered tooling up for moulded mudflaps for the Focus ST, and there are other models also that will never get them. Such a shame.

:(

looks ok if you fit them with proper brackets...be surprised...certainly not chavvy...

me best bud gota set on his FRP...so cool

admittedly not yet on mine...need some mods to fit in with them!! just an idea tho :)

Agreed here. It just looks like someone designed a car really well and left the work experience boy to finish off the mudflaps. I appreciate they are easy to clean and whatnot, but leave the rally stuff to the rally cars imo.

But opinions are opinions :)

ewww :S

That looks horrible, i'd be embarrassed driving with them!

I think they look the nuts...we are looking at FRPs...you realise this fellow Ford fans!?!?

The wide arches mean the wheels kick up mud and dirt to start and then theres the salt and stones, throws it all up sides of the cars....is more of a necessity for the FRP boys!

I'm a die hard Ford fan - oval shaped heart with blue blood lol

but I was never a huge fan of the FRP becuase the standard Puma hardly set the world alight, did it? Can't remember what the motivation behind producing the FRP was - did it need to be a wide bodied shell for rally homologation?

Looks ok, but it's still a Puma, know what i mean? :P

neither will I...in standard form its a girls car and the FRP only comes in purple (they say royal blue...yeah!)...so I think its girly...but then me best mate can't be bothered with girls...so his FRP is kinda his GF!!

nah...I like the blue ones...white would look naff with the wheels...the interior has that blue colour in it....so maybe thats what going for?
