Have you been driving to different places with varying distances? The miles to empty is calculated by how the car is driven eg stop start traffic, having long or short journeys etc

Constant short journeys currently haven’t given it a good run down the motorway in a while which I will be doing tomorrow.

You should do what I did and upgrade to ST calipers, carriers and discs. Definitely felt a difference in hard braking. It was a straight swap so hopefully it would be the same for the mk7 👍

Good progress though.

Thanks for the comments!

not really much to post up at the moment, went to car culture in Milton Keynes last night which was great till the heavens opened!

Alligned my HID’s properly today, properly sorted the heat shield and screwed it in where it’s meant to go.

order wise; I’ve just ordered a a brand new Maxton Fromt Splitter and an Auto Specialists Decat.

Alligned HID’s look brighter?

Going to get the Decat fitted at 1, then have it done before Lowdown UK in Milton Keynes tonight! Come say hello if you’re there.

Do update when it's fitted and how it sounds 👍. Doing my rear brake conversion at the moment so busy as well on the car 🤣

What should of been a 2 hour job has turned into an ongoing 12 hour job. The 4 studs connecting the turbo and cat are the problem. One came out fine; the other 3 stuck and no thread left.

Two are currently out, with a guy coming round with a stud remover, car should be back up and running later this afternoon.

Righttttr, Decat is fitted and my god it’s loud. Currently running Decat and silencer delete so it is wayyyy too loud, do not recommend for people who get headaches easy!

but damn I love it! Raspy and much louder and pops at every gear change, will have a video tomorrow!

Lol I'm sure the pops is what you love. At least the bolts came off in one piece and not snapped on you. Would love to get pops and bangs but don't think I can get that on my diesel.

Haha after one day of driving, I’m having my silencer delete removed and getting an ST180 back box as it’s far too loud for the road!

Went and got an ST backbox from the guy I swapped bonnets with. Hopefully having it fitted this week and quieten the noise down.BAB17869-BF13-40C8-9731-4991AB8C1AF5.thumb.jpeg.90d181996bcf1da55cfcc1567b911128.jpeg10DA9ED0-4BE2-4061-BA87-F6963D2B37DB.thumb.jpeg.b244116520c5f192565a327e2665e218.jpeg5BFE7FA2-535C-467F-BCC8-A22D887063FB.thumb.jpeg.064fd34d28217b64c6871ad12531dd28.jpeg

As its from an ST your hopefully will still get that sporty sound to it. I think @Willy did this on his car and there was something you had to check with the pipe.

The garage that fitted my silencer delete apparently do this conversion a lot on fiestas. So hopefully it’s a simple 30 min job as they say.

although the car sounds ace, the roar from the car is a tad too much now!

Well it’s been a long day but we’re done. And what a result. The ST backbox is on and pairs so well with the Decat, very subtle and sporty noise but pops and roars softly!

Also managed to cut the Zetec S diffuser cleanly enough to fit around the Backbox until I have the money for an ST Diffuser.

Sounds decent now. You should put a red pinstripe running across the diffuser. Someone did that on there's and looks good.

Yeah, thought about that. It’s just temporary until I can get an ST one. Will have to get some tape and see what it looks like.

Haven’t done a lot lately but went and got tinted lights today, also fitted my race tow strap.32319BE7-8656-4D10-8681-8B378D111BC5.jpeg.73914cbf357b4d511aaf44b394c5f67f.jpeg8ACF38B7-8008-4185-AD7E-8C97B0E466E2.jpeg.93dd157aac3c8b15405947663093d8e6.jpeg3D42EBBE-5D23-4A7C-BD0B-46C705AE307B.jpeg.ab99a3cef51449334d857778d3cddc64.jpeg784FDD35-6F29-4461-85FE-2341DE4E786F.jpeg.11cd8544b1bf3a78265b3ab39075df4e.jpeg

What type of tint did you use? Does go well with the red paint. I'm in the middle about the tow strap. Doesn't look bad to be honest and I like how it matches your paint but I might get made fun out of if I installed it myself 🤣. Sometimes insurance companies con you and increase insurance just by adding that.

I didn’t use any, I swapped with a guy who used spray. However turns out he was trying to pretend my autobeam lights were his! So I got my indicators but he has my reverse and brake lights from autobeam.. so I’ve just ordered a new set as I’d rather not have his “mates” after me.

I quite like the strap, adds to the front but doesn’t over do it!

Also got a week off next week and going to power flow to get my centre ca5 removed as I miss the noise and pops.

That's not good to hear man. Actually makes me angry that we live in a world with these sorts of people. With me for example I found the previous owner of my car to be a con artist. Advertised the car as having new clutch, water pump, injector seals, timing belt and a mountune remap. Sadly after buying it he said he will send the receipts but never got nothing since so just assume he was lieing. Really did upset me and didn't make me happy with the car for several months. It also had a leaking injector which I found the day after. Thankfully now after nearly a year and sorting out the injectors I'm happy with it and don't want to sell it. It's a rare example which I like.

Lol I do like the tow strap. I like how that bar sticks out. It's just the only thing which will stop me from getting it is insurance might con me and my family might think or joke around it's there because I keep breaking down even though we'd have it for looks 😂

Will be looking forward to the updates 👍

Yeah, I just paid the £5 he wanted for “his” lights (which were mine), and got in my way. Autobeam lights should be here Tuesday hopefully as one of my brake lights ain’t working. My reverse lights also flicker every 15-20 miles for a millisecond apparently.

however, just been sent a photo of my car from the Essex summer mash up meet last night, thanks to CJPhotography:

Thankfully autobeam deliver very quickly, have just installed their brake light unit and reverse unit(again).

Will get pictures when it’s darker, but even with tinted lights. Autobeams led’s Are still extremely bright.

So I’ve got a week off work this week, and the car is currently at my local garage who’s done all my exhaust jobs.

They’re currently removing my centre cat/resonater and replacing with a straight pipe.

will get a video once done.
