  1. Not any more mate, I'm retired. Your mileage boast isn't something I'm unfamiliar with though, my norm was 100,000 every two years (car change time). Clearly I have learnt nothing about driving in 50 years and you're obviously an expert. Might I ask that, if you wish to be a keyboard warrior and score points off people, you don't use me as your target? Have a nice day, I'm sitting in the pub. ;)

  2. That's why they invented limiters. To stop stupid people excessively speeding. If a person is unable to maintain a constant speed, and keep an eye on their speed while keeping their eyes on the road, personally they need to either retake their test or just stop driving. I can easily maintain 70 on the motorway with the CC turned off and without the need for such features.

  3. Well headed to TK Performance this morning just had this little beaut installed Steeda touqure mount used the black harder bush tho see how we go! Also while I was here rude not to have a few goodies installed Give them a follow on Facebook and Instagram Gareth really knows his stuff and has a loverly ST200 Fiesta crazy power! Also so removed the front middle lower grill while it was in the air, just to see how it looks over the next few days/weeks judge how I like it and if I put it back or not will looks a lot better with smaller number plates and moved a little higher more air flow as well! ;) Also discussed some future plans what this space, now she needs a clean haha

  5. Hey guys. So I just joined this forum today, done the introduction and now ready to absorb information like a sponge My Focus is a 2009 1.6 TDCI and it seems to run pretty much sweet but I have put 7,000 miles on it since I bought it (now 107k) and I have no paperwork to say when the last oil change was so this is first on my list. I have bought an Haynes manual today which will help but I am stuck on where to locate the correct parts. So ... from what I can tell I will need / want as follows: Engine Flush (for peace of mind want to give this a go, what do you recommend?) Engine Oil (what's a good quality oil to get and where to get it from?) Oil Filter (do I have to stay with OE filter or is there a more efficient one?) Magnetic Sump Plug (really confused, some are M14 x 1.5 and some are M14 x 1.25, which do I need?) Looking to give this a go next week, so If someone can point me in the right direction on where to obtain what I will need and recommend good products, that would help me a lot. I have never done an oil change on a car before but done plenty on motorbikes so I am looking forward to giving this a go. Thanks in advance. Matt

  8. The one on my RS was far worse practically flat instead of curved to follow the body shape. Took it back to my dealer body shop but they were useless after 4 weeks getting nowhere I spoke to the regional manager he took one off a demonstrator and swapped them From what I've read this is a fairly common problem if you bought from a dealer I'd go back and speak to the sales manager try get him to do it on a good will basis If not try a scap yard if you can get a colour match Evidently the door just slides off but might break the retaining lugs so be careful

  9. I do like the Mk1 seems to have more oomph since it had it's oil and filter service. It only was supposed to be an oil service but I had a spare air and fuel filter anyway, so I did those too. Something appeared to be missing last week when I accelerated, I don't think when my Mum borrows it and makes her ¾ mile journeys, it does a lot for it's well being. When i adopted Pipper, I said to the rescue that I would get them everything they have on their "Wish List". I do like going over there this afternoon with Pipper and the first installment of the "Wish list" items,. My initial idea was to get everything all at once but in the quantities I'm buying for them, i would need at least a Luton or two to take it there in one go So it's a Focus boot full at a time.

  13. Yes mate, I was thinking about a bigger drop maybe H&R, decided it might make the ride a little bumpy. Looks wise I'm more than happy with the 30mm drop the eibachs have given me.

  14. She's been lowered!!! 🎊🎉 My bro said the rear bolts were an absolute nightmare to undo. Downside though the knocking sound I mentioned in another thread seems to be the tension mount on the engine not the exhaust 😩 Before After

  19. Pollen filter is just next to the area you described, so it is very likely they accidentally (or deliberately, but forgot to put it back) pulled out that cable while changing your filter.

  21. on my fiesta if i turn the key and havn't pressed the clutch down it says on the radio display something like ' press clutch to start'. does yours do this ? even if you do press the clutch? (but not the brake). i am wondering if what is in the pic is the (broken) switch on the clutch pedal so that the electrics (for starting) know if you have pressed the clutch down or not

  22. Ouch! I've never had a spring go in any of our vehicles, which is surprising given the amount of pot holes and speed bumps in my area!!

  27. Cheers for the comments :) and yes to answer above they are reflector headlights, I'm planning on going to SJ conversions and getting him to completely redesign my headlights for bi-xenons and some fancy other bits I wouldn't put hids in non projector headlights, I've been blinded by people with them so I wouldn't do it to others this is what I'm going for Just finished installing this little thing today and deleting all of this one sound thingy my jig gone in the shed, turbo sounds a lot better when coming off boost now :) ordered from SiCo Dev yesterday and delivered today on standard delivery that's service!! Tomorrow im off to TK Performance in Norwich who are Colin's Performance sister company, getting a new torque mount and couple of goodies and to talk about future changes 😌👌 maybe hybrid by the end of the year who knows

  31. Your little 125 will burn off most things because they aren't trying to race you, they have the restraint not to put people's lives in danger. If I saw you driving at double the speed limit in a 30 I would be the little spec in your mirror reporting you! I'd like to think you are just trolling, and bigging yourself up like a lot of the keyboard warriors. I'd rather hear a bean can exhaust and loud BOV trundling past than see people like you go past in a blur. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  33. Alternatively buy or rent an electric impact wrench (or air, if you so desire). I paid £58 for my Clarke CEW1000, £10 for a set of 14 Sealey impact sockets, and it paid for itself in the one job of replacing both suspension arms. That is if you'll have enough space to use it, maybe with an impact waggly joint? Don't be fooled by the lighter tapping sound it makes, after a bit of impacting it shifted those bolts like they were being driven out of cheese. I did them back up again with a ratchet as i've read a few people have snapped heads off bolts with it!

  35. Hi Jason Thanks for the pics. Yes like stefan has suggested just swing the compressor out of way to get at that bolt. I have included a pic here to which shows the bolts you need to remove to get the compressor moved to give you a little room for the Arms bolt. Take of the under shield to get better access to all. The part I circled in green is the bolt you need access to. The parts I circled in red are the bolts you need to remove of the compressor side. I think this is the correct setup judging from your pics. Just take of the under-shield to get access and remove the bolts in red and then shimmy the compressor out of way to get room to the Arm bolt. From there fit the arm as you did teh other side and the build back up the bolts on the compressor and that should be it. Hope this helps. Sonic

  42. Please don't. It really gets to me when people mod their car trying to make it sound and look like a faster car than it actually is. People actually find this quite offensive. It's like buying a fake rolex watch and showing it off to everyone as if it's real. Of course small cosmetic enhancements look good, but spending hundreds doesn't make much sence to me. If your after power then you can do dpf removal etc. Or just buy a faster car. I don't mean it personally just I'm sick of seeing crappy cars with a huge spoiler and a 3 inch ***** can on the back
