that wrap looks neat. if you dont like wrap then get a replacement trim as it will be difficult to get a perfect colour match and if it dont match then it will bug you even more! look on ebay for a replacement2 points

Ouch Tell you politics is nothing but trouble and pain Best advice I ever got is this; "Never talk about politics or religion because it will always end in an argument" See my parts for sale on thread "philf1s Spirit Blue Fiesta ST180 parts for sale"2 points

There's almost certainly a leak somewhere on the high-pressure side between the turbo and manifold. Our 1.8TDCi had done 125K when we sold it and in the 7 years we ran it there was never any whistle.2 points
-
Are you sure that you don't have any turbo hoses with splits in them?2 points

It's a sound deadening product which you can put more or less anywhere in your car to make outside and road noise minimal, it's a really good product not done mine yet but I have a friend who has it on his but all throughout the car and it's pretty much silent :)2 points

You will be amazed, they really are cracking engines, Puma speed are doing a kit for £2.5k that takes it to over 200bhp. I'm learning to ride a bike just now too, so going to sit my full license this year and get a bigger bike, so don't really need a mental fast car too. Puma speed 205bhp upgrade2 points

Jamie the people you work with were around when labour was for the working man... That labour no longer exists. The working man has been screwed by labour time and time again, labour is now for the men and women who can work but do not work......2 points

Hi all! I have a fiesta with the 100ps 1.0 ecoboost engine. Ford claim 65 Mpg. I was getting 45 mpg which is understandable as I drive to work along a mix of roads so wont get the 65mpg, but looked today and it was doing 32 mpg! I am a young lad, but even so I dont over rev it much, I just drive like any other person! Not quite sure on why its dropped, any opinions? Cheers!1 point

At school I was nocturnal lol literally. Left school and It went to normal periods, started farming career and now I can fall asleep pretty much anywhere & anytime except in bed and at night. Fell asleep in the tractor a few times when the heater has been on. Come home for dinner have half an hour kip on the sofa or at the kitchen table, part and parcel of the job lol. My nightmares consist of me being in my old room, in bed, with all the house burning & falling down & me screaming and making no noise, those happen a lot.1 point

There are some replacement switch panels on ebay, however they're not cheap. Prices around £50-60. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk1 point

Thanks for that, ill definitely check out the rear visibility on Sunday. You will have a great time once you get out and about when you pass your test, the biker world is great, you can go to any biker café, bike shop or rally etc and bikers will talk to you and make you feel welcome. All bikers nod to each other (not scooters) to say 'Hi', if you break down bikers will stop and help you. Just remember if you go to your first biker rally do not tell anyone 'its your first time', unless you like been tied up naked and left on show for hours ha ha1 point

Oh B, you will love it when you get your bike license, you will have wished you had took it years earlier . I have not been able to ride mine for the past 2 years, Oscar (Kawasaki 650) is sat in the garage covered in dust1 point

Why oh why do people not read someone's post or not all of it. "I'm not into wraps and the like" Come on people sorry it's been a long week at work and these little irritations are grinding me more than normal, I like to moan a bit lol As said to the OP swap it for a replacement part or remove and have it sanded and painted and colour matched, there are places that do all sorts of mobile dash repairs these days. Cheapest option would likely be finding one in a scrap yard and swapping it over, you can always advertise the one you have on ebay to recoup a little bit of money, for someone who might want to buy one to wrap or repaint in a different colour etc.1 point

Had this a few times now. Friends have filled their cars up and the light has come on. Not just Fords. I've cleared the codes and they never came back. You only really need to be concerned when the light starts flashing. Then you must stop the car.1 point

That's not right. Car should be smooth through the rev range. Is it still under warranty? I would get it checked. Its probably something fairly simple.1 point

No, I work for an outsourcing company whose client is a Scottish energy supplier... Given that we don't even upgrade people with clock meters, I can safely say that they are being overzealous making you get rid of your current meter.1 point

Thanks mate, I'm getting it onto a diagnostic machine at garage later today who won't charge me a penny to check the fault. I will report back with their findings. :)1 point

Buy some 3M wrap on eBay and cover the whole thing in a different colour :) I covered mine in carbon fibre effect. Sent from the pub with a pint in the other hand.1 point

Thanks for that tip. I've actually found one in the next village, believe it or not. Always thought the garage looked a bit disreputable but it turns out they're a specialist body shop. You can never tell by appearances can you? The car's booked in for next week. Could be quite an expensive job depending on what needs adjusting but if it improves the handling I'll be happy. I'll report back after it's done.1 point

Hi Anita, Sorry to hear about your accident in the back of an ambulance doing your duty, when motorist hear and see a emergency services vehicle coming, they go all confused dot com and do stupid things. I hope it hasn't put an end to your career? What made you choose the Fiesta over the Focus with your spinal injuries. I have health issues too, and I would of thought that getting a smaller car would be a bit tricky, that's why I'm thinking more about the Focus. I have even considered the B-Max, but really want to get the Focus. I'm sure that, you being trained in high speed driving, you can give the salesperson a test drive of their career Hope it goes well, keep us posted on your findings! Liam.1 point

I like that better actually red might be too bold on the drums, callipers red looks awesome though! Still not sure about the alloys though tempted to leave them as they are as new alloys is too big an investment, painting them is a consideration although, they're 17" standard ZS alloys1 point

As above - the level of cover & parts failure conditions covered is vital . . . . & at the end of the day any warranty is simply an insurance policy - you are in effect gambling that something expensive will go wrong, but hoping it doesn't . . . . & you are covered for potentially huge repair costs should x or y or z go wrong, but maybe not if parts a or b or c fail . . so make sure the policy is suitable for your needs. As previously stated, £0.69p per day is a small price to pay for at least some peace of mind i.m.o.1 point

Maybe a replacement trim off ebay and swap it would be the answer. Little nicks and marks like that would annoy me too lol1 point

This is not the case. My previous car was an 09 plate MK 7 Titanium and it did not have ESP. ESP became standard sometime after 2009. Edit - Just checked online. ESP became standard on cars built after 26th April 2010.1 point

I've fitted ford mudflaps, HEKO wind deflectors, front grille S badge. Next I'm possibly looking to paint the callipers red and tint the rear windows. Anybody know if it's a good idea to paint the rear drums or not? And 5% or 18% window tint? 😊1 point

It should have a car icon with lines behind it lights up first then goes off, showing you a car sliding. Its a pain in the ice or snow as it tries to correct itself all the while.1 point

You could even buy a '09 base "Studio" model and get ESP with it. But a '11 Titanium seems like a better choice. Have fun with it! :)1 point

ha ha, don't put ideas into my little head 1.0L engine -->154bhp, those figures are making my little brain spin. I am still trying to get my head around that I am going to road test a 1L, 3 cylinder engine, a week ago I point blank refused to even consider it ha ha1 point

It should come up with an extra 47 bhp and about 25% more torque. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk1 point

^ Lots of people on here have used Drivethedeal and I don't remember anyone complaining. Another similar website is Carwow, but they put you in contact with a dealer after you see what discounts they will offer (also saving thousands of £), so at that point it's just like going to the dealer as normal. I think a lot of dealers will refuse to compete with these websites, and I really don't know why. If they can sell another car even with a very small margin, that's better than not selling a car. They should be more willing to compete on price in my opinion, but maybe they have a good reason not to.1 point

Search online for a web site called align my car, all dealers on this site use the hunter proalign system which is the best in the country.1 point

Long-term reliability of the 1.0 is still a bit uncertain, but I would still pick it. Far better fuel efficiency, more power, can't see any reason why not to.1 point

Zetec engine? I thought Zetec was just the trim level, but the ecoboost is definitely the way forward they have a lot of punch the naturally aspirated engines (1.25 litres) are gutless and is like watching a movie in slow motion.1 point

I'm guessing by now most people have seen the new Ford adverts telling you to unlearn everything, showing the Mondeo, Mustang and the Ford GT & Edge at the end. I got an email today showing me a site, that gives a lot more information on what Ford are getting involved in, recycling everything, adaptive headlights and infrared sensors, improved camera's for looking out on blind junctions, inflatable seatbelts etc. Quite an interesting 15 minutes watching all the videos! Take a look: http://unlearn.ford.co.uk/1 point

Keep the door open while your driving? I don't think there is a way to do so but IMO it would be off putting whilst driving in the dark (all cab lit up and darkness outside).1 point

Apologies about this trying to my head round something trivial. If I fitted these http://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/tyc-1502054.html apart from the cornering lighting not working the manual leveling and general alignment would be OK or would it be a waste of time totally?1 point
-
I'd take it back to the Fraud stealer & see what they say, although I'm very confident that any half decent bodyshop manager will be able to tell that the car has been pranged & repaired, so be honest with them.1 point

Isn't this just a design fault as opposed to any problem with the side rubbers? None of the side rubbers on my Focus clear the windows and whilst I can see one or two of the side rubbers may be faulty, I doubt all four are.1 point
