anything less than a cosworth RS 500 engine transplant is a complete waste of time......... only kidding , start with led bulb upgrades inside and out , £30 goes a long way on ebay...... :-D4 points

I did the cambelt at 118,000. But if your car has an interference engine I would not take any risks and get it done at a dealer. But if you are doing it every 50,000 miles it would seem sound advice to miss the water pump and do the water pump at 100,000.3 points

No @GMX I am a Nurse Practitioner, I have just taken a lot of my annual leave in one go. I am needing the break now but not sure if I am busier in work or at home haha. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk3 points

VOSA can still stop you and test your car at random which is getting more common removing your DPF now is just a bit silly with tests soon being able to check for the DPF properly.2 points

Had call from garage all is okay. Seems that there were tracking issue and has been resolved by the garage. Finger cross no issue with steering wheel. They said that my tyres were the cheapest tyres you could buy :/ now have Goodyear grip performance.2 points

Also, forgot to add - the first couple of hundred or so miles new tyres can be quite slippery, they need time to bed in. So don't start chucking it round corners just yet :)1 point

Have a zetec s splitter in white to stick on. Thinking of just painting my standard side skirts as its too much hassle trying to find st ones for decent price. I may just also paint the rear lower bumper instead of an st one after seeing how it looks on the wheels1 point

I am aware of how to route my cables, and how to go about fitting my lights etc. I was hoping someone could clarify which cables I should splice into to allow the footwell lighting to have the same functionality as the centre light, ie; (Off/ Doors open/ On) Im an electrician, but electrics in cars is a whole other kettle of fish. Many Thanks! :)1 point

I Love my Zetec S. i have owned it for 3 years unfortunately the time has come for me to grown up abit so have had to progress on the an estate from my 3 door hatchback but keeping the focus feel i love. Ultimately the misses and i would love a diesel st estate but that is abit of away off yet :( Looking forward to being park of the ford owners club Wanted to know if you guys had sale page. My light is constantly on at moment which is normal and drives great, was going to try and reset dtc but surely will come back on again1 point

Thanks I will try disconnecting it,must admit when the light is on it seems a better car for power, on my way to work today it's unbelievable how many times I have to drop a gear to build speed up,it's always seems to come on around 2000 revs in 3Rd gear it's doing my nut in,il try that tomorrow and get back to you1 point

Been with them myself a couple of times - no problems, even when someone did a hit and run on my Volvo. Took care of business for me no problems.1 point

Deffo check for this, mine just needed some Silicone Grease around the washer jets. You'll usually find it's worse when the engine warms up and the water turns to steam and gets in the connection between the leads and plugs. Could also be faulty Coilpack wiring.1 point

Got it. Wasnt a dud fuse. Turns out the 3 phone chargers i have are all broken.1 point

Hi Thomas, two things. Yes, if you want to pass an MOT you have to have rear fog lights including an activation warning light of some sort - either in the switch or on the dash somewhere. I was watching some sort of wiring loom on eBay that I had considered using in order to add DRL's myself. I have no knowledge of the exact details of what it does and I'm not watching it any more, but that MAY be the easiest/most practical way of going about it. BTW where were you thinking of putting them? I was considering using the existing front fog location as mine aren't working anyway.1 point

We would always recommend informing your insurer of any and all changes you make to your vehicle. If you need help regarding modified insurance we have access to several specialist schemes that allow you to add unlimited 'cosmetic' (ie. does not directly affect the bhp) mods for free. Kind Regards Dan1 point
-
how would you switch on your rear fogs ? and how would the DRL's dim down when you switch headlights on ? i agree £600 for a dealer install is a bit excessive but you need to rethink how you go about this modification as to get them to work like factory equipment is more involved than just wiring a switched feed unfortunately.1 point

Well, on mondeo '16 made it doesn't show ilumination on buttons that window defrost is on. On focus '15 made it also not iluminating heating procedure. Only way to deactivate them is to switch them manually ON and after few seconds turn them OFF or remove fuse(but that's not wise, because one morning it will be needed). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Regarding issues - Does clutch noise have others m5 users? And standart halogen lights are very poor during night? Currently riding focus '15 made as a temporaly car, but as long term car - 4 years lease wanted to order mondeo 5. But those 2 issues are quite important. And lights are very important. During winter a lot of hours being driven in dark.1 point

The medication I'm on gives some fantastic dreams lol Although - if I dream about needing to pee but keep getting blocked, or no relief then I need to go in real life. Come close a few times 😂 I also have almost lucid dreams sometimes. I know I'm dreaming, but I don't try and take control...I like to see where my subconscious is taking me lol1 point

Ooooh Matron!! Seriously, though, further to what Ted has just said you should understand that if the airflow control (not the fan speed) is set to send air only to the screen (as Ted says that's the screen symbol on the control) then the aircon will turn on automatically when you start the car. It will also turn on if you turn the control to that position whilst the engine is running. In either case you should be able to turn it off again with the A/C button and it should stay turned off until you next start the engine or turn the control to another setting then back to screen.1 point

If you press the button does the AC light turn off? It will come on automatically if you pass the windscreen icon on the dial (a life saver when your screen suddenly decides to mist up in the middle of driving).1 point

I got the car running tonight!!! so I thought even tho I haven't had a reply I would still post what I did. Disconnected the battery and c90 (engine and pcm plug) for 5 minutes. Then connect both up. Lock and unlock the car via the door 4 or 5 times. Then get in the car shut the door and put can in key program mode ( key in ignition from of to position 2 4 or 5 times quickly till bleep is heard) Then she started! Must have been because the battery was of for a couple of weeks and maybe the car thought it was trying to be stolen. Anyway hope this helps someone.1 point
